Quite alarming that hearts fans thing they should have 3 games at home vs Celtic to Celtics 1 game at home. They have genuinely lost the plot

We all know tomorrow's match should be at Tynecastle Park. What a mess.

@ScottishFA Celtic fans out here defending Beaton after years of kicking off about him and sending all sorts of threats Scottish football is undefeated haha

Will we just ignore the fact that there's two balls, there's an English Premier League badge and the fact that the two people on this shot aren't Sam Nicholson or Auston Trusty? Other than that, I'd say it's pretty conclusive.
Tommy Sheridan@citizentommy
Try this angle Gary. There was a clear elbow into the neck of our player Trusty that could have constituted a penalty but the high hand is absolutely indisputable and the ball hits that high hand. Whether in the first minute or last minute that is a penalty. Hand is in an unnatural position 👌

@Nomadicscotsman The actual image the fact ppl are using ai to try prove anything says it all

I understand the emotion around a huge penalty decision in a massive game. Football does that to people.
But at some point emotion has to give way to evidence. When freeze frames, angles and clear contact are sitting right in front of us, denying it because it doesn’t suit your team or narrative just kills any honest debate.
What’s even worse is when professionals and pundits, who know the game inside out, deliberately drive a narrative to suit an agenda rather than analyse what’s actually in front of them. That only fuels tribalism and misinformation.
You can debate consistency. You can debate interpretation. But you can’t just ignore unrefutable evidence because it’s inconvenient. Football discussion is far better when honesty matters more than point scoring.

@glasgowcelt79 @talkSPORT The fact u melts keep posting ai photos to try prove it proves it’s nonsense refs helping Celtic again

🤷♂️ Goldstein: "If it hits his hand it would drop on the floor!"
❌ Agbonlahor: "Terrible decision... not a penalty! He's headed it!"
Andy and Gabby cannot believe that #CelticFC were awarded a late penalty to beat Motherwell and set-up a title deciding clash vs Hearts! 🤦♂️

@scotlandscoeff1 I just want to know how that was pen and this one for the hearts Motherwell game wasn’t even looked at for the whole 20 seconds Beaton took tonight

My take: the ball hitting a hand is not always a handball offence. You have to either
1.) deliberately touch the ball with your hand, or
2.) ball hits your hand/arm when it's made your body unnaturally bigger.
This isn't deliberate, and if the ball hits his hand - which is on his forehead in the middle of a normal footballing challenge - he hasn't made his body unnaturally bigger. Because the ball would have hit his head anyway, so his hand on his head does not make his body unnaturally bigger.
Furthermore, VAR can only recommend an on-field review for a clear and obvious error. There is only one camera angle available, which does not show that the referee has missed a clear and obvious error. We can't see clearly where the ball hits.
This is categorically not what VAR was brought in for, and it all needs ripped up in the summer. This is a really poor look for Scottish football, as you can see from the international condemnation online since the game.
You really have to feel for Hearts. Unless you're a Celtic fan of course, that must have been class. But if you're not a Celtic fan. Deary me. Could be a generation defining decision, never mind season defining!
English

Poor 5 days of decisions. Can’t give one and not the other makes the league look a bad one sided. Shame it came down to this after a class league season in the top flight for the first time in 20 years.

Wasn’t even looked at btw… 💔

I’m puzzled by why only one angle of it was shown and why the referee has so quickly given that after what looks like a single viewing of the incident. It may well have hit his hand but it feels like a quick turnaround for a decision of that magnitude.
