Chicago spends $1 million a mile to build bike lanes on existing streets, and has plans to spend a billion a mile to build a 5 mile rapid transit system extension to nowhere (basically). Also this Indian story - sounds sus that 7 engineers made this decision on their own with no oversight or review in a nation renowned for its bureaucracy.
