She led by modeling. I never seen her smoke or drink. She went to work, worked hard, showed me and others grace and kindness. She was a great leader with control over her emotions and integrity. So yeah even growing up around gangs. Having friends that were in gangs. Friends that smoked. Friends fckn girls in apartment buildings at 14. Friends robbing people for cell phones. Friends drinking etc I never did NONE of that. Virgin throughout high school. Never smoked. Never drank. Never gang banged. Never even shot a gun until I joined the Army. And it was all me making my own choices. Being a leader learning how to navigate the streets. Honestly was a straight good influence on a lot of my peers because after a while they kind of just knew “yeah we can’t do shit like that when T around or he just gonna bounce.” In fact. One of my boys would still be here today if we didn’t stop kicking it cause the way he died I’d never allow. Another one I had going to college with me but when his big brother got out the pin he deaded that shit. Admittedly not all kids are leaders like I was and some are swayed more by peer pressure but yeah I think her plan has a high chance of backfire. If you believe in your modeling let her figure it out.
