@WallStreetApes Are Cigna still going? I used to work for them in the U.K. in thw 80s/90s. Though they’d been bought out/merged with others about 10 times by now. (Ps they was a good company to work for back then over here)

American has Cigna health insurance Her daughter was sick, she takes her to the doctor thinking it would likely be at most a couple hundred bucks with insurance All they did was a nose swab for the flu She just got the bill It’s $984 “What the f*ck is going on, what do you mean by a thousand dollars for a Q-tip up a nostril” The American healthcare system is legalized robbery

What is a sound or smell that doesn’t exist anymore, but 30 years ago was so common it was considered background noise?

@callmeMaharani The loud click-clack of typewriters in offices… now replaced by silent keyboards. Back then, that sound was basically the soundtrack of work.

@elllllljibt @hwannhyune Rm aw thw best of a bad bunch in the U.K. to be honest. At least they’ve got the infrastructure to deal with deliveriies/volume of letters & parcels. Unlike EVRi who can’t even deliver parcels next day to lots of places as thw dont have enough depots to facilitate it

@LidlGB Hi Hilary. Thanks for reaching out. It was Newbury retail park. The staff there are always amazing and friendly and usually a great place to go. This time on the Middle Aisle of Doom I just had to follow the instruction you can see in my picture

@O2 how long after giving notice should I get my final bill? The woman I spoke to said 2 weeks and it’s been nearly a month, most recent bill came in and it’s the same price and didn’t state it’s a final bill.

@knfruitbat @janerebeccabl @MartinSLewis We do that. We are a small company with a small building we can’t possibly keep 10s of every item we sell in stock. However we do get 2 deliveries from most ofnout suppliers every day. Doesn’t help when they send the wrong item multiple times and we have to keep reordering it.

@janerebeccabl @MartinSLewis Really annoying that some companies offer next day delivery but then don't dispatch for a week and said it is from the point of dispatch not when it was ordered.

@WallStreetApes I had a couple of these done. In my experience, they just numbed my cervix with lidocaine. I did take ibuprofen after the fact as a precaution. I'm not saying her insurance company is correct here, I'm just pointing this out.

This woman has surgery with anesthesia. UnitedHealthcare denied the anesthesia She appealed. UnitedHealthcare denied it again Her doctor said the anesthesia was absolutely necessary as she had to laser cells off her cervix UnitedHealthcare thinks ibuprofen would have worked apparently…. “I had surgery in May, for which I had to go under general anesthesia. Tell me why United has denied covering the anesthesiologist, $2,800. I filed an appeal in August. They just sent me a note that they denied the appeal. This procedure that I had is called a LEEP. It's essentially abnormal cells on your cervix that could become cancerous. They remove them. They laser them off of your cervix. If you're a woman, you probably understand having to even take Advil before going to your regular annual Pap smear. Imagine a laser on your cervix. In what world is Advil or, like, any sort of over-the-counter, like, pain medication supposed to work? The doctor strongly recommended general anesthesia. I would love for someone at United to tell me what they expected me to do for this surgery in terms of pain management.”

@tvlicensing would seriously like to know what information your records have that shows a change in my household (no one’s moved in or out) that makes me require a licence when I don’t and haven’t for the last 8+ years watch any tv. I’m an avid reader. My daughter plays Xbox.
