🌽Money managers as of March 17 held their most bullish position in CBOT corn fut & opt since late Feb. 2025, as more shorts were forced out of the market. That marked funds' 9th consecutive week as net corn buyers, their longest such streak since late 2020.

🫛Soybeans are locked limit down But no declarative statement that China won’t buy beans We believe it is very likely this absolute onslaught of bearish news is actually confirming the Chinese purchase of soybeans 70c drop on the day fueled largely by major news progressions > Trump/Xi meeting pushed back > Brazil Ag ministry changes rules for inspections - decreases quality strictness > Reuters statement - “Chinese negotiators showed an openness to making additional purchases of US agricultural products - including poultry, beef and non-soybean row crops - during the first day of bilateral trade talks in Paris” Quite the flurry of price negative news, but doesn’t it seem a bit intentional - especially the “non-soybean row crops” statement. China is known to release statements strategically when it comes to purchasing, I think this is one of those cases. They said they would buy beans, but that was a dollar ago, tank the price a bit and then we can get to business All we need to confirm is a Trump tweet in the next week saying farmers are in for a “golden age” of Ag #China #soybeans #ag #trump

In the past 20 years, there have been 57 trading sessions when Crude Oil closed right near $100/bbl. 🛢️ On those days, Corn averaged $6.00/bu. Today: $4.67. That's a 22% discount. Last week, funds added a record +87k contracts of new Corn longs. They know this math. 🌽

This is one of the most famous pictures of North Dakota weather. This week marks the 60th anniversary of the Great Blizzard of March 1966. The 1 to 3 feet of snow in combination of 70 mph gusts created drifts in the 20 to 30 foot range.

I redacted my original post this morning as I had communication issues and meant to save as a draft and not post for the security of the remaining team members that were still in PV until tonight. Now that our team is all stateside, I will share our last 72 in Peurto Vallarta. Departed last Thursday for a 3 day stay, ended up staying an extra 3. Overall, the lockdown was mild at our resort, never once felt threatened though there was plenty of uncertainty at times. But I will say, if you find yourself questioning how good this country is go find yourself one of these situations and you’ll be quickly humbled.

@Shaun_85 @NelsDer @MikeStenvold OMG. For the kind of money this shit cost there shouldn’t a concern list. There should be an awesome list. For fuks sake. I don’t care what color it is. I will never own a red planter. Why. Because I don’t like them and think green or blue is better. You are clueless

@_TheMizzouTiger @NelsDer @MikeStenvold I listed two concerns I've heard about each machine, and decided to consult more experienced people to help me make a decision. If I wanted another brand, I would have listed one. You called me clueless simply because I didn't list a machine that you think is the "right" decision

@Shaun_85 @NelsDer @MikeStenvold You literally complained about both your options and then asked for input on which one is the least POS option. If that isn’t next level clueless I don’t know what is. Go find an option that is actually a good one instead of settling.

@weisenburger I suppose that was a "fix as fail" pip so you couldn't ask to get it fixed? Or was it only a pip on the first couple years of the 13.5?

@Shaun_85 Our red 600 went down and we got a 9620rx to use, put about 300 hours on one and was happy to get the red one back. Red was quieter, better viability and seemed like our Cummins 530 quad and the 600 had better power. I wanted to like the green, but the red ones are better.

Agronomy Lessons from 2025 Excessively Dry Soybeans at Harvest has cost growers serious $$ past few seasons. Getting soybeans out of the field near 13% has been a real struggle the past few seasons. Earlier planting has often increased yield potential, unfortunately sometimes the beans are maturing in early to mid September w/warmer days that lowers moisture quickly. Green stems have also hindered the ability to harvest when grain moisture is optimal.. Spreading maturity out more has helped... but not a solve all. Hoping to try some seeding rate & fungicide trials this season to try to find a solution. Will take any thoughts..

Agronomy Lessons from 2025 Trend of incomplete furrow closing is on the increase with more high speed planters in the country side. While it appears all is well from the surface, often times the bottom 1/2" of the furrow has air pockets. Especially when conditions are moist. Monitor is showing good ground contact & ride quality. Get out and dig... A LOT. Be sure to check every row also. Spiked closing wheels can help but does not automatically solve the issue. You may have to just slow down depending on soil conditions!
