If you care about your personal data and privacy they make your life harder. This became noticeable for anti-tracking, privacy-focused people in January 2025. Overt 'glitches' started occurring in the last quarter of 2024 in the advent of the January 2025 implementation of website 3PC deprecation. I've de-google-meta-fied my life as much as possible since 2024, which means my friends and family have had to get used to me being 'off the grid'. It annoys them that it's not convenient for them but this is how they are marketing it to people - convenience. Stand your ground and protect you and your family, and try to educate those around you. I won't even have my banking app on my phone because they updated the privacy policy to include tracking of location at all times, all swipes, and text typed. This happened after BlckRck bought a 5% share in the bank. It's all related to globalism / AI / digital ID Essentially a digital gulag for citizens worldwide. Do not use these services as much as you can. The more of us who find and or fund other ways of communication the better we off we will be - this includes supporting people and companies who are doing it in good faith and won't sell out to the big guys. Think before you click. Read the T&Cs and Privacy Policies. Don't use Gmail. Create logins with an Email address, NOT Google or FB single-click logins.

The audience most likely to read Google's data practices and refuse its terms is now flagged as fraudulent for that exact decision. What happened?: ▪️ Google announced "Cloud Fraud Defense" at Cloud Next on April 22-23, 2026, branding it "the next evolution of reCAPTCHA." Existing reCAPTCHA customers were auto-migrated. ▪️ When the system flags traffic as suspicious, the old click-the-bus puzzle is gone. Users get a QR code instead. ▪️ Scanning the QR code requires Google Play Services running on the device. Internet Archive snapshots show this requirement has been live since at least October 2025, silently rolled out for 7 months before anyone noticed. ▪️ No Play Services = no QR scan = locked out. The bigger picture: ▪️ Google already tried this in 2023. It was called Web Environment Integrity (WEI), and it would have let Google decide which devices were "real enough" to access the web.
