A few weeks ago we had 18 unis launching rent strikes. We’ve now more than DOUBLED, in January there will be over 45 universities across the country on rentstrike. This is the biggest student uprising in a generation & marketised universities simply aren’t ready for it.

‘Very shortly’ isn’t good enough! UCU warned that without a functioning ‘track, trace, & isolate’, outbreaks would happen. We asked the government to stop a mass return to campus in Aug/Sept - they didn’t. Plans should already exist for an Xmas return- it was predicted by SAGE.

The government argues colleges and universities must continue in-person actives during lockdown so that learning isn't disrupted. But learning is disrupted when the mode of delivery constantly changes due to staff and students yo-yoing in and out of self isolation. #MoveOnlineNow
