I visited Sheldon Creek Dairy Farm in Loretto and took a turn on the packaging line, getting some delicious Ontario chocolate milk ready to be shipped. It was a great chance to meet some of the team and talk about the importance of supporting Ontario agriculture and other local products!

So we MAY have worn cow hats yesterday around an Ontario dairy farm. We were given a fantastic tour, and honestly their milk (particularly chocolate and strawberry) is off the charts. It feels great to be visiting (& putting eyes on) deserving Ontario businesses again!

@DanaMcCauley It is! Thanks for purchasing the garlic butter! You should try our ghee! It’s stellar for cooking and I’ll be first to admit I love the nutty flavour it has even when spread on my bagel in the morning. The turmeric ghee I use as a sub for olive oil.

@DanaMcCauley @MillersDairy Palm oil by-products are used in animal feed as an energy supplement when feed supplies are low or are of poor quality due to Mother Nature. Feed supplies and the quality of feed are a direct result of the weather during cropping season.

@DanaMcCauley Haven’t seen the research yet to say it’s specifically from the palm byproducts. I’d love to see that though as we definitely love to nerd out over here about the science of food. I have been checking every time I use our butter these days and it’s still getting soft.

@DanaMcCauley @MillersDairy We don’t fed palm oil byproducts. It seems to be a misconception that it is palm oil but when added to animal feed it is the byproduct of palm oil not palm oil itself. You will find palm oil in make-up, many dry good grocery items as well as baby formula.
