A Wonderful and Successful Intergenerational Dementia Café at Coulsdon Temple, organised by @MSHFoundations . Our participants enjoyed a vibrant dance workshop by Janaki Mehta, an inspiring EMPOWER Co-Production Workshop for dementia research, and a calming yoga session by AJ. A huge thank you to Fiona, Janaki, Renuka and AJ for facilitating the workshops across our four groups. We had a very productive and positive meeting with Police, community, and business people.

This morning, Broad Green Councillors invited the Police to meet with local businesses to hear their concerns. Many issues were raised — including crime, anti-social behaviour, street drinking and the impact of mental health challenges — all of which are affecting businesses in our community. Some even expressed they may have to relocate if action isn’t taken. A huge thank you to Inspector James Weston and his team for listening and committing to action — including increasing patrols, encouraging businesses to report issues and working in partnership with the Council and homeless charities.

Broad Green Labour members were out on the doorstep speaking with residents. Many people told us they are deeply frustrated about repeated fly-tipping in the area. Despite ongoing dumping, Mayor Perry failed to take action to catch the perpetrators.
