@Guntalk It definitely sounded like something from the back page of 90’s era of G&A. Sound advice is always appreciated regardless the source!

@Shootlowboys No. I made that up today. It seemed like a way to express a way of living. A choice we all make, even if some don't recognize it.

@lisathebeauty1 But you would be willing to pay the insurance and property taxes on the rental property as they increase annually, right? Econ 101. If landlords can't raise the rent, they will sell the properties, and there will be no rentals.

Landlords should not be able to increase rent unless they are upgrading the property/apartment.

@Guntalk Was that a quote from Col. Cooper? Do you have any personal stories about him you can share? I’m assuming the statute of limitations has passed of course!

@CamEdwards Thank you. I was told at a local gun shop that carry will only be allowed on your property and that I should leave everything but bolt and lever actions in TN. It just seems that everything is upside down since NVa has lost it’s collective mind

@Shootlowboys You can still carry on your private property. I don’t think reciprocity is going to go away with TN on July 1 either, but we’ll see what the AG does. You probably want to look into getting a non-resident VA permit if you want to carry off-farm when you’re here.

@CamEdwards if you could give advice or discuss on your podcast. I live in East Tn, we have a farm in SWVA. In July, know I cannot carry concealed legally in VA. Does that mean I can’t carry on our private property in Va? Not a fan of going bare where there be bears!

@Guntalk @TomiLahren I’d rather support the small business coffee shops already in Tennessee. Nashville is becoming rather “liberal” on its own already!

@Mrgunsngear Id say #2. That way I can at least say that I meant to get shot rather than have a weekend warrior killing me by accident

If you had to do one, would you rather: 1. Do this "drill" with random strangers that show up to a weekend training class? 2. Shoot each other in the front armor plate at 15 yards with handguns like that Larry Vickers video with Spetznaz? #WTF #safety #nope #fail #OSHA

@CamEdwards I’ve killed more whistle pigs with a savage mk ii and instead of a suppressor, I used a linear brake. Even with stangers, they struggle to find where I shot from. I use a 22lr can now, but don’t notice the difference on them

Kind of a Texas hero...
Traces of Texas@TracesofTexas

I posted this photo of legendary cowboy Thomas Blasingame, who died while cowboying at he age of 91 once before, but now I have the fantastic AP obituary that was written about him. From 1989: CLARENDON, Texas -- A man believed to have been the oldest working cowboy in Texas died the way he wanted, stretched out in the prairie grass with his boots on, friends said. Thomas Everett Blasingame, 91, was found lying on his back Wednesday by fellow cowhands at the JA Cattle Co. ranch near Clarendon in the Texas Panhandle. His saddled horse was standing nearby. 'If he had written it down on paper, he wouldn't have changed a word,' said Buster McLaury, the cattle foreman on the ranch. About 400 people attended graveside services Saturday at the JA Cattle Co. cemetery near Clarendon. The last burial in the cemetery had been in 1899. Johnny Farrar, the ranch's business manager, said Blasingame was riding a young horse he was training just before his death. 'He must have known he was in trouble, dismounted and just laid down and died,' Farrar said. 'There were no bruises or scratches, so he wasn't bucked off.' Blasingame's son, Thomas E. Blasingame Jr. of Hereford, said the cowboy was laid to rest during a traditional 'cowboy funeral,' with the hearse accompanied to the graveyard by Blasingame's riderless horse and cowboys on horseback. There were lots of people there,' the younger Blasingame said. 'It was a pretty pleasant day. Things went real well.' Blasingame was born in Waxahachie on Feb. 2, 1898, and was a cowboy all his life. He came to the JA Cattle Co. in 1918, then left two years later to go to Southern California, New Mexico and Arizona. He returned in 1934 and remained at the ranch until his death. '(He) had chosen to be a cowboy when he was a little kid,' said Thomas Blasingame Jr. 'The reason he lived so long was because he did what he did for his entire life.' Farrar said Blasingame's job was to look after the cattle and horses, the ranch's fence and windmill. He said Blasingame displayed outstanding qualities for a cowboy of any age. 'It was exceptional for him at age 91, because he performed the job just as all other cowboys do,' Farrar said. Blasingame married his wife, Eleanor, when he was 35. He lived during the week at the Campbell Creek Camp in Palo Duro Canyon, 9 miles south of ranch headquarters. The camp had no electricity or telephone, and his wife lived in nearby Claude. 'He was a good, kind man to everyone,' Eleanor Blasingame said. 'When he died, it was the first time I've ever seen a bunch of cowboys just crying. They were all devastated by his death.'" I told y'all it was a fabulous obituary!

Vigilance Ranch is a place where my guests can experience something beyond the studio walls. It gives them a chance to step away from heavier topics, have a good time, and engage in something they may not get to experience anywhere else. What should we add to the ranch? @SilencerShop

@SheriffJim4445 If Ruger would build a GP100 with a 3 or 4” barrel, I’m all over it. Right now the closest thing is their GP100 in 10mm

41 Special... With due diligence you can load a 225 Keith bullet over a suitable amount of Unique and duplicate the old .41 Magnum Police load...900-950fps Of course you wouldn't want to do this in a really lightweight gun. Colt SAA...Ruger GP100 or Blackhawk should do just fine

@guncollective @amazon The dirty secret about most Amazon drivers is that they are contracted (not employees) much the same way FedEx drivers are contracted. Amazon is beginning to show the same quality of service that FedEx has been doing for years.

Hey @amazon, since you make it nearly impossible to report reckless driving… I’ll do it publicly. This jerk nearly ran me and my family off the road making an illegal left turn. In fact, I bet people would happily chime in below with their own horror stories about your drivers.
