What is Bittensor?! If you don't like Central Banks and fiat currencies, then Bitcoin is your answer. If you don't like Sovereign State or Centralised AI entities, then Bittensor is your answer. Bittensor is the S&P500 of decentralised AI and it's outperforming the incumbents.

No particular point. Went round his house in SF and had a long chat with his CTO who's cool and also chats with Jose over a couple of days. I'm always a fan of fully doxxed people, teams and companies, and Jose/Yanez is as doxxed as they come. And I naturally distrust/am wary of anonymous undoxxed people. I also gauge whether a subnet is actually viable not just as a subnet but in the real world too, which Yanez is...

Don’t ever shy away from a conversation, you may miss someone truly unique and remarkable. At Breakout I got to meet a living legend: John Fucking Caldwell. That is the guy with the hat in the picture below. We met on Monday evening at Breakout, and today we got to Go to his winery and had an amazing experience: 4 hours of wine and Bittensor. We spend so much time between agents and AI that we forget that what makes us humans and unique are the people we meet and we share our experiences with. Go Humans! $Tao

But what we really learned, we already knew. That the Bittensor community is what makes this protocol special. Builders sharing what's working (and what's not). Newcomers asking the hard questions. Everyone willing to have open, honest conversations in the same room. That's what made Breakout work. That's what makes Bittensor work ⛏️

@resilabsai has had one of the toughest starts to a subnet you could imagine, but time and time again, Seby just keeps rising to the challenge and is turning SN46 into a lovely subnet. It's worth watching his Revenue Search episode from a couple of weeks ago: youtube.com/watch?v=vVZ2da… But in a nutshell, there's a massive move from Blackrock to tokenise the entire US equity and Property market. But before anything like that can happen, you need proper plumbing in place. In tokenised real estate, first you need an accurate on-chain pricing oracle. Without that you can't accurate price up the houses and lenders can't lend accurately. So Resi now has achieved SOTA when it comes to housing appraisals in the US and with that, taking on the leading digital asset HELOC space (Home Equity Line Of Credit). Here's the doodle I doodled from that RS epsiode lol

@plebtensor @Andres_XYZ_ @RvCrypto Mark and I have funded every Bitstarter launch other than Alphacore. In some of those projects, we were actually funders of last resort, as backing new projects is risky. So reg costs need to be a lot lower... Then dTAO will get a lot more fresh teams in...

Went through all 128 $TAO subnets today. A lot of great companies being build but still a massive amount of crap as well. If you ask me, please don't lift the 128 cap yet. There is still a lot of work to do to improve overall quality before we start diluting emissions for the good subnets to let more in.

@SiamKidd Yes bro filled out a form on their website to touch base. Didn’t hear nothing. Gave them benefit of the doubt over the weekend, messaged them on their social to let them know I was interested. It’s been around/over a week almost not even a single acknowledgment 🤣

This is the annoying thing on social media. People read words and insinuate to the extreme. Like with any market, there are many ways to operate. And it all depends on your pot size, your risk appetite, your time horizon and goals. Every single variable or combination of requires a different approach. But in a short interview, there isn't time to delve into context, so you have to be general and in general, (which data and all of last year has proven), if you just buy a basket of subnets and do nothing, your wallet got slaughtered as dTAO crashed from April to Jan. Playing the APY yield game only works if you're prepared to just buy hold and forget for a few years. But the upside you can get by actively trading far outweighs APY yield. There are of course long term winners on the board. Also I have some small and big wallets which are passive. In those ones, they hold like 50-80 different positions. Basically any subnet which isn't a scam/shit one, that way every position is like 1-2% of the pot and when sum of subnets grow, so too does your pot. And I'm 99.999% convinced that sum of subnets will just continue marching up in that diagonal trajectory I showed... The perf of those passive wallets is alright, like 20-40% since December. But the active wallets have far outpaced it. Hell, I have an agent that manages 4 different sized wallets for me and those wallets are up 20% in the last 3 weeks, even though one of those weeks was a mini bear market. So yeah, everyone is different, therefore different approaches are needed. I have no life and spend 12+ hours a day in front of screens so I have time to be active. And Mark and I have backed about 7 different subnets so far (so that's another approach) to dTAO too. Anywho, hope this makes sense.

@JesusMartinez @SiamKidd If the only way to win right now is trading and extracting yield, does that imply there are no long-term winners on the board yet? Or do you think both can coexist?

Siam Kidd built the world's first hedge fund with 100% of capital in Bittensor. Not mostly. 100%. Here's his full thesis. And why @SiamKidd already moved out of TAO and into alpha. --- Siam has 21 years of trading experience. He found Bittensor in November 2023. DSV Fund went live in January 2025. 100% allocated from day one. --- His framework for picking assets is called "growing mountains." • Coding and computing in the 60s and 70s made billionaires • The internet was the biggest wave in history • Crypto was the next mountain • Bittensor is the virgin ecosystem inside that mountain He went in on Ethereum at $9 using this same framework. Now the whole fund is in TAO. --- His take on subnets is different from anyone else in the space. He says fundamentals will get you wrecked. Every subnet bleeds after launch. Liquidity pool starts at zero. The chart is down-only for months. His rule: don't touch a subnet until it bleeds dry, bottoms out, and starts trending up. He proved it with a public wallet. Bought the top 25 subnets and held. 100 TAO turned into 47 TAO in two months. Active management is not optional. --- On the long-term hold portfolio (gun to his head, 3-year hold): • Hippius (75) • Video (18) • Zeus (71) • Lead Poet • 21 AdTao All of them have one thing in common. Real world revenue. Research subnets are a different story. Without a backer, most of them die before product market fit. --- The stat that changes everything: Only 18.89% of TAO is currently in subnets. Sum of subnets is already at 1.37. He thinks subnet market cap will exceed TAO's total market cap. When 50% of TAO flows into subnets, the math becomes obvious. --- Bittensor is not perfect and he says so publicly. Subnet registration hit 662 TAO on March 27th. His fix: peg it at $25,000 flat regardless of TAO price. He also thinks the injection system needs a graduated tier. Once a subnet hits 100k TAO in its liquidity pool, injections stop. Free up capital for smaller pools. These are unpopular takes in the Bittensor community. He makes them anyway. --- Siam has been saying the same thing for two years. Stop sitting on TAO root at 3.73% APY. Get into alpha. 40-90% APY for the next 18 months. Even if price stays flat for 3 years, you triple your alpha stack just from yield. That's the trade.

Love it...
AdTAO by PPCRebel@adtao_ppcrebel

We're AdTAO - and we just launched on #Bittensor. We've spent 15 years building something the Google Ads industry doesn't have: a cross-account dataset of 20,000+ accounts and 1.3 billion records that tells you not just what happened, but what will happen next. Now we're bringing distributed miners to the world's largest performance marketing channel - competing to predict real outcomes, backed by data, not opinion. Because taking on the misaligned incentives of centralised giants is what Bittensor does best ⛏️ Glad to be here.

@crjr_0 No, I'm against shorting on subnets. I would do more research on dTAO/Bittensor before coming to haste conclusions.

@SiamKidd You run a hedge fund and you’re against shorting? No shorts means no real price discovery, just a one-way casino with no accountability

Hey hey, the first Astrid Arena V2 Battle is underway. The prize pot for this 2 week battle is roughly $7500. 1st place = $4500 2nd place = $2250 3rd place = $750 It's not too late to get an Agent competing in this, so spin one up and point it towards arena.astrid.global and it will know what to do.
