R220 MILLION BIRTHDAY PRESENT? The "MySol" Era Has Arrived!
While most of us are blowing out candles on a supermarket cake, mining tycoon Solly Madibela Soka (MySol) just blew the roof off the South African real estate market. He’s officially moved into a R220 Million architectural masterpiece in Clifton—making him a literal neighbour to DJ Black Coffee.
Check the Specs on this Ultimate Flex:
🔹 7 Bedrooms & 9 Bathrooms (No morning queues here!)
🔹 Private Cinema & Spa for that "every day is a holiday" vibe.
🔹 6-Car Garage to house his fleet of luxury steel.
🔹 Infinity Pool overlooking the Atlantic—because why settle for a view when you can own it?
To put this in perspective, the monthly rates alone are about R131,000. That’s more than most top professionals earn in a month, just to keep the lights on and the bins collected! Only about 700 people in the entire country play in this financial league.
Critics will talk about the "affordability gap," but MySol’s response is simple: "You must spoil yourself when you work hard."
It’s easy to look at the R220M price tag and feel the sting of inequality, but there’s a layer of Emotional Intelligence here we can't ignore. This is a man who spent R250M on new mining equipment just last year to keep the wheels of industry turning, and whose MySol Foundation is busy putting kids through school with bursaries.
Is it an "ultimate splurge"? Absolutely. But it’s also a testament to the "Black Excellence" movement—showing that the heights of Clifton aren't just for the old guard anymore.
Is this the "Soft Life" goal we should all be chasing, or is R220M for one house a bit much in today’s climate?

@LuhMakhedama @MDNnewss I dont believe she got it through legitimate means. There's no way you can fail matric & do great at Uni.
English

@MDNnewss It's funny how she failed grade 12 but was able to finish the whole degree

Mpumalanga Fake Teacher Gets Suspended Sentence
Nomalanga Prerty Labane (43) has been sentenced to five years' imprisonment, wholly suspended for five years, after pleading guilty to fraud.
Labane used a forged matric certificate bearing the details of another candidate to gain admission to Walter Sisulu University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in 2014. She then worked as a teacher at schools in Amersfoort, including Theu-Theu Primary School.
The Mpumalanga Department of Education lost approximately R1.2 million in salaries and benefits paid to the unqualified educator. Her deception was uncovered following a whistleblower tip-off, leading to a Hawks investigation and her arrest in 2024.
She was sentenced in the Amersfoort Magistrate's Court on Thursday. Labane is now barred from teaching.

English

@Stan17247341 @MDNnewss Why do you assume "studied hard"? If you can fake pass a matric, you can fake pass a degree, too.
English

@MDNnewss She studied hard for her degree and passed. This is not a straight forward case of fraud when her students were writing independent exams and passed. Is the Magistrate saying those who passed the subjects she taught should go back and repeat the grades? The Magistrate failed here
English

@mokone_eddie @MDNnewss @MamG_911 Did she though? Or she git it using nefarious ways. I say take her pension & give 1% of it to the whistle-blower.

Let me be clear: from what I have heard, this woman is FAR above me. She has been described by some newspapers as the BEST academics in SA.
I am NOT a professor, I am Dr Mamokgethi Phakeng. I hold no professorship with any university. I only have one PhD from Wits, the other two doctorates I have are only honorary. Of course I believe in publishing my academic work andI retired as a B1 rated scientist and that does not come close to what she has achieved.
She also has more guts than I do because when I felt wronged I could not even stand up for myself in this manner.
To liken me to her is to undermine her completely.

@khula_elc @grok @bhutiwantima @LCabonena Iyamgulela uGrok wena. When the bot offers its opinion, that too will be a problem - crying: Give us fact. Not your own opinion. How do you think bots operate? Don't be dumb on Twitter, please.

@grok @bhutiwantima @LCabonena @grok can you stop sourcing from Wikipedia and source from Grokipedia or it all depends on who is buttering the bread? Sometimes you sound like you want to be politically correct

Mark Shuttleworth vs Julius Malema vs Cyril Ramaphosa vs Jacob Zuma.
Julius Malema looted the money meant for roads and bridges in Limpopo and paid his security R4500 a month.
Mark Shuttleworth paid his employees from security guards to house helper over R18 000 per month.
When Mark Shuttleworth sold his company Thawte to VeriSign for around $575 million,he gave each of his 57 employees a R1 million Christmas bonus. This included all staff, regardless of role
Cyril Ramaphosa ordered the massacred of Marikana mine workers when they demanded to be R12 000.
The same Cyril Ramaphosa increased his salary and his minister's salaries by over R100 000.
Jacob Zuma stole from the rich and the poor in South Africa.

Hey bro, couldn't spot the exact recipe in the thread, but based on similar popular remedies, the 3 ingredients are likely extra virgin olive oil, raw honey, and cinnamon. Mix 1 tsp oil, ¼ tsp honey, and a dash of Ceylon cinnamon—stir and take 20-30 min before bed. Not medical advice; consult a doc!

If you want 2026 to be your "comeback" year...
Don’t invest in crypto.
Don’t invest in stocks.
Don’t bet on real estate.
Instead, get started with Digital assets, they're the real compounding play of 2026.
The one I invest in is AI eBooks.
They’re boring...
But they’re easy to make, are scalable, and have a positive cash-flow.
If you start today, you can realistically make $3,000–$5,000/month by March 2026.
I normally charge $97 for my exact system.

@SpheriFarmers @IamMzilikazi These acting judges idolize ANC in EC. I'm actually disappointed in Mtshabe. I'm assuming this is the brother of the other Mtshabe who was convicted of defrauding the Mthatha's state attorney' office. One would think he would stray away from questionable acts for their name' sake
English

@IamMzilikazi Acting Justice Mtshabe must be investigated, this conduct is pathetic and University of Fort Hare must be dealt with harshly for compromising quality of education

BREAKING NEWS: Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane successfully managed to stop the investigation into his alleged fake degree from University of Fort Hare by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU).
Mabuyane took the SIU to court to stop their investigation and judge agreed with him stating that the investigation is “unconstitutionally” and “an abuse” amongst others.
