@ScottProfessor @ScottProfessor We all have the same anxiety during follow up. 18 years down the line I still have fear of recurrence, stress and anxiety every time I do my checkups. You are not alone!

Fellow cancer survivors: Sincere question please. How do you handle the anxiety of your regular 3/6/12 month follow-ups? Thousands of us in Kenya are cancer survivors. But how do we as a community cope with recurrence anxiety? I will be honest, I really struggle with this, stress, fear, lose sleep, and so forth. Example having a positive follow-up biopsy 😔 and then waiting for ultrasounds, MRIs, PET/CT scans, etc (if one is fortunate enough to have access to a range of diagnostics) to know whether it has spread...and the stress and fear of going through the cancer battle all over again. This is my situation right now. Some kind advice please 🙏. And I pray earnestly for those fellow Kenyans amongst us who must face the scourge of cancer if they do not have access to quality healthcare. It breaks my heart 😢.
