No love lost for the Basij but the Israelis are exhibiting absolutely zero care in their strikes in Tehran. They are bombing checkpoints in the middle of the busy street. This will be killing and wounding civilians. It is the same permissiveness towards civilian casualties as seen in Gaza. Reprehensible targeting strategy. The commanders are extremely satisfied with the new servicemen: their motivation and discipline are much better than mobilised soldiers.

The 55th exchange of prisoners, 115 for 115, since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine took place today. On the Ukrainian side, nine illegally convicted soldiers (meaning Russia charged the with terrorism or some other made up charges instead of following POW protocols of the Geneva Conventions), members of the Ukrainian Navy, six guardsmen captured at the beginning of the war defending the Chernobyl NPP, three border guards, and 82 defenders of Mariupol of which 50 surrender at the Avzostal plant. I have yet to find any information on the Russian POWs but, based on the the fact that Russia agreed to release some very high profile Ukrainian POWs, I can only guess they were the young Russkiye (pure Russian Slavic) conscripts who were captured in the last 3-weeks and not any ethnic Russian ChMobiks, or African, Cuban, Syrian or Central Asian conscripts who have been POWs for up to two years or more.

@RALee85 Yes, it's bad. Nothing to say beyond that, it's a self-evident things. Kursk is a hedge against us ever being forced into a "ceasefire", but it came at the wrong time from overall military standpoint. At least, now we have PoWs to trade for the people.

Thanks to @moklasen's work, we've moved the 9th Motor Rifle Regiment, as well as elements of the 200th Arctic Motor Rifle Brigade and 15th Motor Rifle Brigade to Kursk. It looks like they're just moving anyone who was in the area regardless of cohesion

@ConteZero76 @MrBijl @Maks_NAFO_FELLA The BMP was disabled by a mine and was being evacuated from the front in the same way UA armor is evacuated. The tanks were presumably operational. They will likely get a quick once over by maintenance and then be pressed into service as replacements by nearby line units.
