Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will not feature Hidden Blade Combat like in the original. The Hidden Blade will instead allow for "fatal, contextual (and BLOODY!) takedowns" after breaking enemy defenses

@SynthPotato The only reason it's being phased out of existence in the games is only because of those idiots that whined about it "breaking immersion" and many more dumb excuses, ever since the Desmond Miles Saga.

The problem with Modern Day in Assassin's Creed is that its has consistently failed to get an interesting plot going since Desmond Valhalla finally introduced a genuinely awesome plot idea with Basim being alive in 2020, and then they gave up on this story a game later. Atp I've accepted MD is being phased out, they'll continue to include rifts and optional notes that add to its lore but its completely gone as a main focus. and I do think AC4's modern day sections being replaced with an extended Edward story in the remake is the right call, but I 100% believe you CANNOT remake AC1-AC3 without including Desmond's story, you'd be taking a core, beloved aspect from these games out that way. It has to stay. I'd love if Ubisoft uses these remakes to expand on Desmond's story, re-write it in some ways even, I'd even be down with retconning AC3's ending in favour of the original time traveller Desmond concept that they had, which is way cooler than what we got. Phasing out Desmond would be a huge mistake!

@TheRealZephryss It's not an easter egg anymore (to me at least), Assassin's Creed Forgotten Temple made Watch Dogs canon, since DeadSec appears in it.

There is a Watch Dogs easter egg in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. When you go outside the Animus and walking around the Abstergo Entertainment offices, employees can be overheard talking about "That security company in Chicago," and "Going to work for Blume." Blume is the security/infrastructure company that designed the ctOS in the Watch Dogs series. There is also a brief presentation from the Blume company that can be found after hacking one of the computer terminals at your work station.

@RinoTheBouncer YES!, it belongs to the series and i'm still pissed of to this day that ubisoft turned the modern day storyline in shadows into some stupid emails inside the Animus Hub.

@kevincreednews many more of them deserve a trilogy, i personally want to see more of Arno, Bayek, and Connor's story, and it would've been cool to also see more of the Frye Twins or even more of Basim's story after the events of Mirage and the Valley of Memory DLC.

Would you like to see the Freedom Cry DLC included as part of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced? I personally really enjoyed the DLC back then and it might even be my favorite DLC in the entire franchise. That said: having a truly great first Assassin’s Creed remake is much more important to me, so it wouldn’t be a huge deal if it’s not included. What do you think? Should Freedom Cry be part of the remake or not?
