@SynthPotato I mean if it helps, they did add a setting that lets you turn on the landing sequence, instead of it just playing once. Could it be better? yes, at least the random events when flying around in system distracts from this a bit.

Starfield could never have seamless space travel like No Man’s Sky, the engine and game aren’t designed for it. However, I still wish they took a page out of Star Wars Outlaws and tried to make it look seamless rather than an immersion breaking black screen.

@NikTek Who gives a toss about landing I want to be able to walk to the edge of the map and go to the next area of the world and not have to use the map menu to select a new landing zone.

Here's what happens when you try landing on a planet during Cruise Mode in Starfield after the latest Free Lanes update. Even you can get quite close to it, you cannot enter a planet without going through the landing sequence by opening the map.
