📢 Congress must act!
Specialty physicians are facing unsustainable Medicare cuts — a 33% payment drop since 2001 when adjusted for inflation. It's time to stabilize physician payments and support value-based care. We’re on the Hill with @SpecialtyDocs for the #ASMFlyIn today to support the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act (H.R. 879/S. 1640)!
🩺 Protect independent practices
📉 Stop year-to-year payment cuts
💡 Encourage participation in value-based models

The @AARP bulletin today asks, “Where have all the doctors gone?” as more patients find themselves seeing PAs and NPs instead of medical doctors. I believe it’s no accident—policies are pushing out physicians to cut costs, leaving patients with fewer advocates and more confusion.

There’s a reason docs are walking — if not running — away from #medicine . Imagine doing 10-20 yrs of education AFTER high school, studying hard to be at top of your class, & then calling it quits within a few yrs of finishing all that education. It’s really a loss to society.

@kmadass @HowThingsWork_ My techs take offense if I don’t let them put my gloves on me. But I double glove, and it’s tough when someone else is double gloving you. Maybe they could come up with a double glove, where you have full range of motion, proprioception and retain finesse. I would buy that.

Andrew Crummy, MD died today. Developer of DSA, founding member and president of @SIRspecialists, beloved teacher, and author of the first radiology text I owned. He was a giant who bequeathed interventional radiologists of today an incredible specialty and bright future. RIP.

3/3 Abre stent placed. Pain resolved within 3 weeks & pt back to work. No matter the yrs of experience, I still don't like stenting young adults but sometimes it's needed & careful pt selection is important. #TheVEINS24 #VIVA24 @OEISociety @myAVLS @MDTVascular
