@EdWhelanEPPC The question was never What is golf. The question is whether a private organization should have the absolute right to decide what golf is for them and their members. The Americans with Disabilities Act destroys that private right.

25 years ago today, Justice Scalia delivered his classic "What Is Golf" dissent in PGA Tour v. Martin: “If one assumes … that the PGA TOUR has some legal obligation to play classic, Platonic golf … then we Justices must confront what is indeed an awesome responsibility. It has been rendered the solemn duty of the Supreme Court of the United States … to decide What Is Golf. I am sure that the Framers of the Constitution, aware of the 1457 edict of King James II of Scotland prohibiting golf because it interfered with the practice of archery, fully expected that sooner or later the paths of golf and government, the law and the links, would once again cross, and that the judges of this august Court would some day have to wrestle with that age-old jurisprudential question, for which their years of study in the law have so well prepared them: Is someone riding around a golf course from shot to shot really a golfer? The answer, we learn, is yes. The Court ultimately concludes, and it will henceforth be the Law of the Land, that walking is not a ‘fundamental’ aspect of golf. Either out of humility or out of self-respect (one or the other) the Court should decline to answer this incredibly difficult and incredibly silly question.”

@LamarMK When it comes to garage parking, it's not just personal preference about backing in. The location of my charger cable dictates that parking behead in. So there has to be choice menu, or else the car has to be able to remember which one it is

In my opinion, FSD 14.2 felt better than 14.3. If Tesla gave us the option to choose which FSD version we wanted to use, I’d probably switch back to 14.2 right now. The speed profiles felt better, and 14.3 no longer seems to accept turn signal inputs when I don’t have a destination set. Also, FSD still not backing into my driveway or garage is one of those little things that would make a big difference. Parking preferences for home and public places should be a priority. Some people like parking face forward, but a lot of us prefer backing into parking spots. Come on Tesla, sometimes it’s the little things that matter. @elonmusk @Tesla_AI @aelluswamy

@afkostka If he didn't care maybe he can stop with saying it 15 times a game .. along with "punch out" and "Velo" and a host of other nonsensical phrases .. just my opinion but Ben and Kevin Brown do not help at all in watching this bad team.

Navigation errors are amazing and confusing. Yesterday it took me on a little detour among neighborhood streets and then back out onto the main road. No reason at all, just silly detour. I can't figure it out. A child could do better. But these things only happen every once in awhile, and the primary experience especially on highways is terrific

FSD has plenty of remaining issues, but if you block it all out and track the safety metric specifically, you find the signal. Everything else is secondary to safety. There are honestly a bunch of mistakes it makes that wouldn’t even matter if every car was autonomous. Matters now because they need to operate among humans, but man. They figured out how to make a car move through all road infrastructure more safely than the lot of human beings. So insane. Everything else will work itself out.

@mikepat711 Why is the navigation part so difficult for them? It makes errors that are just ridiculous, any idiot with a knowledge of maps and driving can immediately see that they are half-assed

I’m moving to DC this week. I’ve lived in Southern California my entire time in America since I immigrated in 2017. DC people, what should I know about my new city? Any tips, warnings, favorites to share?

The intellectual and moral rot of Yale University on full display. Just imagine KKK leader, David Duke, receiving adulation and applause like this at Yale. Does anyone doubt this would be frontpage on the NY Times and covered endlessly on CNN, as it should be given what it signals about how Yale is producing moral monsters in the next generation of social and political elites. Yale itself would immediately issue condemnations, impose mandatory "sensitivity training" on all of these students, and other punishments for which the elite universities have rightly become infamous. None of this happens when a pro-Hamas, anti-American, violence-promoting bigot and virulent collectivist Hasan Piker receives appluause and adulation at Yale. It's a non-event for the elites in our social, educational, and political institutions. It's a non-event because these elites agree with Piker, and this is the most chilling thing about what this signals about our elites and the future of our country. If you ever wondered what you would have done in 1932 Berlin, you're doing it now.

Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, who has said America “deserved 9/11” and “I back Hamas over Israel any day,” received a hero’s welcome at Yale University last night. Ivy League tuition dollars at work.

On his way around the moon, astronaut Victor Glover quoted scripture. It wasn't the first religious stunt in space. In 1968, Ayn Rand had choice, critical words. "I, for one, felt as if the capsule had disintegrated and we were left in the primordial darkness of empty space."

Thrilled to announce that I’m joining @reason as an editorial manager! I’m genuinely honored to join the team and help manage editorial operations at an organization I’ve long admired. I’ll get to continue advancing ideas of individualism and free markets in one of the best places to do so. I’m moving from Southern California to DC for the job (sad about the weather, happy about the gas prices) and I couldn’t be more excited. I start in 3 weeks and I can’t wait!🗽
