On mass deportations, I suggested to Rupert Lowe that Reform have moved a lot closer to Restore’s position in the last year. He told me that he’s ‘not really interested in Reform. I would have helped Nigel become prime minister but I don’t think he is fit to become prime minister. My personal opinion is that he is managed opposition. I think that if you look at the mainstream media, it is now pushing Nigel… so I’m not really interested in Reform’. And his prediction for the by-election? ‘We can win it. Reform’s candidate is poor quality and when our rape gang report comes out in early June, a vote for Labour is a vote for evil.’ Only time will tell. ✍️ David Shipley Article | spectator.com/article/rupert…

Wes Streeting Would Still Lose His Seat in Most Optimistic Burnham General Election Poll order-order.com/2026/05/26/wes…

Surprise, surprise @wesstreeting is on @BBCr4today bashing landlords. I’ve got news for you mate, we can’t have a “productive nation” without people having homes, so if you want to tax Landlords to hell, I’d build some alternative accommodation first ‘cos you’re going to need it.

🚨BREAKING: Keir Starmer has told friends that he intends to stand down as Prime Minister and set out an orderly timetable for his departure [@DailyMail]

Swinney promised he would be a First Minister for ALL of Scotland, but his first act pours scorn on the 383,425 Scots who voted for Reform. No matter. He may shut us out from his cosy club, but he cannot stop their voices being heard in Holyrood!

NEW: Burnham backers say today's results are "existential" and PM needs to "act in national interest" and set out a timetable for his resignation. All were speaking off the record, but some suggested they could go public as results become more clear. Hw big problem remains how Burnham gets into parliament. One MP said colleagues have been offering their seats to Bunrham but they want a guarantee he won't be blocked by NEC again and "those guarantees cannot be given". Another said they were "about the only Andy backer" in the PLP who realistically thinks he won't get into the Commons in next 6-12 months, so PM should revamp his entire top team with ppl "outside the SW1 bubble". But others hope NEC could be pressured as there is "increasing consensus across swathes of the PLP that Andy is the answer". #liveblog-body" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">news.sky.com/story/politics…
