@reddit_lies I dont think this is a good one to highlight. I dont condone her actions but she seems sincerely concerned for her son. I dont think she understands her son or what she did, and is desperate to fix things but doesnt know how. The son is obviously not okay. The situation is sad

Today, he murdered a teenage girl in a town next to Barcelona. He didn’t know her, at all. She just happened to be walking on the wrong street at the wrong moment. We really don’t have to live this way. Remigration can’t happen soon enough.

The past year or so I have been fascinated with IQ and the data / discussion surrounding it. Sufficiently obsessed so that I bring it up in conversation opportunistically. Believe it or not, I’m convinced a deep unfiltered discussion of IQ and what we can learn from it is at the heart of what is needed to continue healing from the woke mind virus. Entirely too many broken mindsets and policies orbit the idea that all people are essentially interchangeable and that culture, education, and nutrition are more influential than genetics. This is obviously untrue to anyone who bothers to think for a few seconds. As an extreme example, the most well fed human on earth will never ever grow to the size of a blue whale. Similarly, the most well fed and educated blue whale will never win the Boston marathon. Our human genes have an upper bound to the size we can grow, and blue whales have their own limitations. These are silly and obvious and indisputable because they are easily measured and without exception. They are also entirely uncontroversial because they are cross species. To discuss and understand IQ in depth requires you to accept that human sexes and races also have measurable differences. This is a far more dangerous discussion, figuratively but perhaps also literally. There are many exceptions, but they don’t change the rule. I was talking to a psychologist about the topic. They considered themselves an IQ expert, and so I knew the conversation was going to get interesting quick one way or another. Unfortunately I wasn’t surprised to hear them immediately make a point that the test is biased against certain cultures. It’s always that, or the uninformed argument that IQ only measures one type of intelligence… She pointed out California case Larry P. v. Riles (1979) which prohibits testing African American students in CA for the purposes of special education placement. I started to push back, asking to clarify how that was proof the test was bias. Their response was to insult my own intelligence. To assume I have no idea what test norms are or how they are created and applied. I tried to respond to that, but they were already upset and made it clear they were finished with our talk. Look, I get it. It’s not fun or convenient to admit that much of our success or failure is fate sealed in our genetics. But it’s critical in the face of a delusional population to start facing difficult truths instead of denying them. Else we end up with men playing women’s sports and entering their locker rooms.

@ggreenwald @smithersjay @CivicMindedTurd @jbouie You may not realize it but your arguments are so disingenuous its frustrating. You act as if all cultures are the same and that its bad if people prefer their own culture in their own country. Do some get excessive with their rhetoric? Sure, but you really dont understand them?

I actually need to post the quotes of people on the Right not only saying "let's enforce our immigration laws" but talking about immigrants in general or various cultures as inferior, or as diseases, or as existential threats to wester civilization? I'm not going to spend all night arguing with each side about whose rhetoric is more vitriolic. It's ultimately irrelevant to the point I made.

When a white supremacist gunned down 10 black people in a Buffalo supermarket in 2022, the NYT's @Jbouie and other liberals blamed mainstream conservatives for "inspiring" the anti-immigration views in whose name that shooter killed. Bouie claimed in the NYT that the killer's manifesto was "virtually indistinguishable from mainstream Republican rhetoric," and conservatives thus bear blame. Liberals wanted Jack Smith to prosecute Trump for the violence on January 6 based on this same theory: that Trump "inspired" the January 6 violence because his speech "inspired" that violence and they acted in the name of Trump's repeated claim that the 2020 election was stolen. The Right also embraces this theory, as they're doing now: blaming liberals and Trump critics for last night's WHCD's shooter because the would-be assassin's manifesto shows he acted in the name of common anti-Trump sentiments (ironically, last night's shooter actually did read and liked many liberal statements, including those of Jamelle Bouie, Wil Stancil and other partisan liberal luminaries). All of this is dumb. Words are not violence. You're not responsible for someone's violent acts because they share some or even all of your views. The Supreme Court has repeatedly said that preserving the distinction between words and violence is vital for basic conceptions of free speech (see Claiborne v. NAACP (1982). You allowed to express opposition to open borders, and you're allowed to criticize the American President, even harshly, without being held responsible if some lunatic uses violence in the name of your views. Bouie in 2022:

@ggreenwald @smithersjay @CivicMindedTurd @jbouie Honestly how much calmer do you think the right would be if the existing laws were actually applied equally and fairly? If journalists treated everyone equally. The left clearly operates on a 2 tier system. Its deeply unfair and its obviously what upsets the right the most

@ggreenwald @smithersjay @CivicMindedTurd @jbouie Everyone used to love immigrants. Where do you think this came from? The collectivist left weaponized and made group identity paramount then got mad when the right notices group patterns. What do you tell Europeans where theres an obvious pattern with mass immigration and crime?

@IterIntellectus Red is correct if the question is how to survive. We all know that. The question is would you risk your own life to try to save everyone else? We know there will be people who dont understand and will pick blue. Will you try to save them? Its not an iq question.

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

@sophiemeaden Are your kind just being deliberately obtuse? Or are you all just really stupid? There are at least FOUR other crimes that took place against this particular lady. So that would be taken into account as well. Of course he would get a longer sentence!

@SGSampson @JJ_McCullough Youre right. Canada should be more independent. The problem is when they start suggesting join the EU or act as if only the US has issues. Canada is also currently highly dependent on the US. Regardless of the future Canada needs a trade deal now in the meantime at the very least

It's pretty obvious at this point that the Carney plan is to try to keep this country in a perpetual state of hate and fear towards the US and use this to keep himself popular. His video today, with its long and gratuitous evocation of the 1812 war, makes this clearer than ever.

Saying the words "white people" in front of a room of white people is WILD, I did it recently. Watch what happens around you... EXTREME discomfort. White people have been conditioned to believe that even saying the words "white people" is a slur. That to even acknowledge themselves as a group, is itself, an act of racism. Really, it's just an insane thing to realize how successful the psychological operation has been. An entire group of people have been taught to be afraid of their own name, taught that noticing themselves is a truly evil thing to do. Yet, simultaneously, taught that EVERY OTHER demographic can speak about itself like that, but if YOU say "White people" it's a slur. The operation was SO successful, it's insane.

Never forget: once your culture is gone, it's gone forever. Government education has failed to teach the great books of the West for decades. Deliberately failed. That's why we started an independent group to study the Western canon, ourselves. Together, we are reading the books that form the mind and shape the spirit. The books our ancestors read. Western Civilization has given us the greatest works ever known — but it takes effort and an open mind to read them. Homer, Augustine, Dante, and Shakespeare are not just names in a syllabus, but guides to a deeper and more ordered life. If this sounds like something you'd like to be part of, please join our group. We read a new classic every month, and meet biweekly to discuss. We are about to start Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment. If you want to support our efforts, please consider a paid subscription. It makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate to this. We are funded ENTIRELY by the members of this community who wish to keep our efforts going — to spread the lessons and virtues contained in the Western canon. Join us! Paid members get: - Live book club discussions (biweekly) - Essays to guide you through the books we're reading - The full archive of essays and podcasts - Access to the community chat room - Ability to vote on what we read next This is not school. There are no grades, no credentials, and definitely no status games. Just a community of readers serious about recovering what's been lost, and using it to build something better. Welcome.

@ciguleva Depends on the purpose of the article. Left looks more openly contemplative. Right looks like a decision needs to be made. So if your article is asking for a judgement maybe pick the right one. Otherwise if its more open ended then pick the left.

I was in the courtroom for Johnny Somali’s verdict. The second he walked in, his eyes were completely dead and lifeless. Zero trolling, zero antics toward the press and creators. He wouldn’t even look at us. He knew he was screwed. And he was so desperate that he lied about still being an ASU student (he already graduated) and tried to say that he missed his family lol. Sad. Hope harassing Koreans and being a public nuisance was worth the hard labor and prison time. But I hope that the prosecutor appeals because 6 months is not enough. WE WANT THE MAXIMUM SENTENCE! Good luck Johnny!
