Very constructive & inspirational meeting with Mali's @MEF_Mali Minister Alouseni Sanou reaffirmed our shared commitment to a stronger 🇺🇳🇲🇱 partnership. We agreed to deepen cooperation around @GouvMali priorities under the SNEDD to advance resilient, inclusive & sustainable dev.

Pleasure meeting H.E. the PM @Gal_Abd_Maiga with @LopezEke, @OIMMali, & @Dr_BoubacarS after the successful International Diaspora Forum. I congratulated @GouvMali and reaffirmed the UN’s commitment, through IOM, to support Mali’s diaspora as a driver of sustainable development.

Mali is more than a place on the map. It lives through its diaspora, whose women and men carry their country in their hearts. Pleased to join the International Diaspora Forum and to celebrate the partnership between @GouvMali & @OIMMali. 🇲🇱🤝🇺🇳

I was pleased to meet with the Minister for the Promotion of Women, Children & the Family. We reaffirmed our partnership to advance gender equality, expand women’s economic empowerment, build on the Spotlight Initiative and strengthen One Stop Centres supporting survivors of GBV.

Peace begins with spaces for connection, solidarity, and shared purpose. At the Women and Girls’ Centre in #Timbuktu, supported by @unfpa_mali , women weave far more than garments,they weave bonds, build trust, and strengthen women’s empowerment. #UN80

Un lieu où l’on retrouve espoir, soutien et perspectives. À #Tombouctou, le Centre des femmes accompagne les survivantes de violences basées sur le genre grâce au soutien entre pairs, à l’accompagnement psychosocial et à des activités génératrices de revenus. #Protection #UN80

In #Timbuktu, the Women’s Centre provides a safe space where women and girls and survivors of gender-based violence can access peer counselling, psychosocial support, and livelihood opportunities, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity, hope and resilience.

À #Tombouctou, l’insécurité a perturbé l’éducation, et les enfants en paient le prix fort J’ai vu comment l’appui intégré de @UNICEFMali, éducation & accès à l’eau potable, crée un environnement plus sain pour apprendre. L’éducation & la santé=piliers de l’avenir du 🇲🇱 . #UN80

In #Timbuktu, insecurity has severely disrupted education, and children pay the highest price. I saw how @UNICEFMali’s integrated support, combining education and clean water, creates a healthier environment for learning. Education and health are pillars of Mali’s future. #UN80

In Tedeyni, we saw resilience in action.Amid conflict, hope prevails: with @WFP_Mali’s support, farmers produce nutritious food, women strengthen incomes, and schools receive fresh local produce. Integrated development at work. #UN80 #Mali #Tombouctou

Au-delà de l’urgence, les solutions durables redonnent aux familles déplacées stabilité, dignité & perspectives d’avenir. À la Cité Al Amal à #Tombouctou, j’ai vu #UN80 en action : l'ONU🇺🇳 et ses partenaires, unis pour les accompagner dans un esprit One UN.

A wonderful moment with a woman pilot flying our UNHAS mission today. Every woman in the cockpit challenges stereotypes and inspires the next generation to aim higher. The sky belongs to everyone. ✈️
