Remember that in a complex country like Syria many truths can exist at the same time: -The Assad regime was the embodiment of evil on Earth and Syria is a much better place without it. -ethnic and religous minorities can celebrate the demise of the Assad dictatorship without being supportive of the new authorities. -SNA forces are thugs who steal from, kill and abuse those who oppose them and should be reined in. -SDF rule in Deir ez-Zor is repressive and should end. -HTS use of religious flags in state institutions is very problematic. -Israel's occupation of Mt. Hermon and Quneitra is an illegal invasion. -Executions of former regime gunmen by HTS fighters are brutal war crimes, even if theyre just isolated incidents. Syrians will face very tough times ahead but can still consider this a liberation, without smuck foreigners lecturing them on what they can and can't be happy about.

Prečo by sme im mali veriť? Klamali pred voľbami, klamú po voľbách, šíria nenávisť, šíria pamflety. Pred prezidentskými voľbami sa všetci fotili s Bratčikovom. Na východe máme Putinovu práčku. Má blízklo k prezidentovi. Systematicky útočia na spojencov, tajne sa dohovárajú s Rusmi. Robia vojnovú protizápadnú propagandu v ruskej a čínskej televízii. Prečo máme veriť, že nás z nenávisti k národu a západu nezradili a nepredali?

@SizzleDruid @clashreport That is true, but do not forget that if Assad's regime falls, the new rulers will not forget that Russia had a very important role in protecting and keeping Assad in power. That could turn out badly for the Kremlin.

But look closely at the fear in the girl’s face, the anger, the frustration. This is not a cultural issue, it’s apartheid against women. The regime believe that if a young girl doesn’t cover her hair, she could arouse men, an insult to men, too.
