Manager Craig Albernaz isn't worried about the Orioles' rotation after the club's 5-4 loss to the Pirates on Friday. Trevor Rogers' ERA through two starts is 1.38, and the @Orioles are 2-0 in his starts. The other four starting pitchers have a combined 6.14 ERA, and Baltimore is 1-4 in those games. He shared his thoughts on Kyle Bradish’s start Friday.

Facing elimination, Team USA manager Mark DeRosa is starting Alex Bregman and Brice Turang over Gunnar Henderson. Henderson started two of the four pool play games. He went 4-for-5 in the first and homered in the second. Yet, for some reason, he’s back on the bench.

He’s a great baseball mind that didn’t pay enough attention to detail in the moment, and admitting that would have been fine, considering they made it to the knockout rounds.
This whole thing reflects our leaders and power structure, who all do the same thing and normalized lying like this. Everybody is following the same formula from the top, all the way down to WBC baseball managers.

They wrote this based on one email that was sent to local law enforcement in California about a single, unverified tip. The email even states the tip was based on *unverified* intelligence. Yet ABC News left out this critical fact in their story! WHY? TO BE CLEAR: No such threat from Iran to our homeland exists, and it never did.

It is difficult to ignore the optics of not playing your A lineup in a game you need to win in order to control your own destiny in a big international tournament. Regardless of reason -- misunderstanding rules (hard to fathom) or simply a decision -- it's a poor look.

⚫️ Cutting either post-June 1 would save ~$20M each, but would put about $12-13M for each on the 2027 Cap as dead money.

@Ea2one Yes, either or both Ro/Marlon could be post-June 1 cuts and both would save $20M (each) on the cap, but that Cap savings isn't realized until after June 1, so it does them no good in March when free agency begins.
