This is such a fascinating object study. So, if you're a leftist, games are *tremendously* appealing, because gaming has, built-in, the idea of making a new reality to suit your whims and preferences. It's so appealing because you finally get to live out the "what-if?" without having pesky details like "If we gulag/wall all the farmers, what will we eat?" get in the way. But, games also showcase that choices matter, have consequences, and that some choices might actually be better than others, which is ✨problematic✨. Put these two facts in a mixer for a few years, and you get """games""" like Mixtape. Where everything just magically works out no matter what you do. That's not a game, it's wish fulfillment. Masturbation has more utility.

To add to the whole Rin Pennrose redesign thing. The issue with the design is not that it's a bad design. The problem is that it does not feel like Rin Pennrose. 1. People hate change (especially if it's drastic) 2. People need time to get used to things. (even Irys with her redesign, caused some people to hate it because it was too different) There are simply too many aspects of the original design that are gone. Heterochromia. The dual tone black/white hair contrast. The tomboy look. The royal theme. Honestly it's a nice design but not one i would associate with what Rin has created as a brand. Its probably something i would associate more with a vtuber like Suisei, Nana, Shiina or Jelly. A cosmic pop idol. So thats probably why there are a bunch of people that are not liking the design and outspoken about it. This is also why Hololive is very strict with their models especially hair and eyecolors. But as I mentioned in points 1 and 2, just give it time and people will eventually get used to it.
