@CCanuck4 I think it's the most persuasive argument to the average person. IME, the derision comes from the fact that many who attempt to argue the problem of evil from an atheist perspective do it very poorly.

It's interesting how half of Christians will dismiss the problem of evil as just emotional and the other half seriously consider it to be one of the strongest arguments for atheism. There's no in-between.

Every single link in this article goes to another article from the same author. This research is entirely made up by a single woman trying very hard to prove a point.

@ThinkInPeach Single people volunteer more, help their neighbors more, & give more money to charity than married people. So the cat lady not contributing to society thing is largely a myth. psychologytoday.com/nz/blog/living…

@Magnarancia I don't know what Italy is like, but see if you can connect with an old-school TV repairman somewhere nearby. These guys will be given old busted TVs (because it's cheaper to buy new) and repair and sell them dirt cheap. I got an old flat-screen that lasted a while this way.

@BellBeakerChad @kojimaicmatters "Don't actually continue your family's legacy to hand on a contiguous tradition to your children, just start believing some shit no one in your bloodline has believed for thousands of years because it's le heckin based." That's how you sound.

@kojimaicmatters Everything that makes you you came from your grandparents, and everything that makes your grandparents who they were came from their grandparents. You trace that back far enough and you will find pagans. You are not so disconnected from them. Your story is older than 1000 years.

No. I met my grandma. I met my grandpa. I know where they're buried. I went to their church. I met their priest. I keep their icons. I don't know what the fuck you're spinning on about. I don't know ANYONE who practices this shit. Don't tell me about my life. I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO PRACTICES YOUR GAY FOREIGN SHIT.
ᚺÈÅᛏᚺËN@BellBeakerChad

You do know them. They are your grandma, your grandpa. They are you. The traits you exhibit, your thoughts, feelings and emotions. Those are your ancestors living on in you. And if you're in America, you likely have an AFA goði near you. Runestone.org

@086Very @lostmyliberal @naryamie9 @nikolaivsevolod @reddit_lies For all of human history before now, people were able to live with not knowing precisely where their family members were at all times. All this does is promote and normalize an absurd level of information access which, when removed, will generate previously nonexistent anxiety.

@HEPennypack1 Just wanna say, it's been very funny reading this friendly fire between non-religious people at your obvious and correct takedown of an appeal to nature fallacy.

@JadeAtrophis Sure. The post isn't criticizing the depiction of cheating in fiction under any circumstances; it's criticizing people who enjoy romance stories that fail to depict cheating in a negative manner, since infidelity is antithetical to romance.

The woman accusing Platner of rape says she was in a "situationship" with him, that she's had to "recall" memories she previously tried to forget ("recovered memory" red flag), that she "complied" with the alleged rape, and that she chose to sleep in bed with her rapist. OK then

@TakebaSweep Honestly, I like 5 better than 4, but 5 became so flooded with filthy secondaries I just stopped talking about it.

I rag on Persona 4 a lot, but honestly at this point I’d probably put it above 5. It’ll never eclipse 3 in my eyes though

@Sagutxis You're Spanish right? I visited Seville a couple years ago and most people there looked white to me. But I'm American, darker complected white people is normal to me.
