Lilo is 95 years old, sitting in a wheelchair on her porch, slowly stroking Stitch as they watch the hawaiian sun sink below a rainbow horizon. She smiles and takes a deep breath. The gentle pets stop and Stitch knows what he’s always known: that an ohana never lasts forever.

@Skoog I had a super pretentious reply to this and then I thought harder about it and I think I agree.

the concept of Andor, one of the greatest original pieces of star wars media we’ve ever got, having no passion behind it but shows like Ahsoka, famously known for stealing ideas and characters straight from Timothy Zahn’s novels and replacing Luke with Ahsoka, having passion
Ember 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🟠⚔️@kryzebuff

It’s fine to like Andor. Despite its issues, I’m a fan of it too. Tony (for the most part) is a good writer But he doesn’t have the passion that Dave does. Even though some people really want him to love Star Wars, he just doesn’t. Imo passion with a few mistakes is better…

A lot of people have a disordered notion of masculinity, viewing being an immature egomaniac as the masculine ideal. Trump being viewed as a strong masculine figure is an example of this. To such people, this isn’t a righteous comeuppance, it’s an attack on their sense of self.
TheNCSmaster@TheNCSmaster

How do some people not realize the most appropriate way for a power hungry egomaniac villain to go out is to reduce them to a sniveling little bitch? The entire point of them looking pathetic is catharsis by knocking them off their high horse

@PhilipDBunn Put another way - if indeed reading helps with producing scientific advance, naturally people will read if we reward scientific advance, so why tf would we bother trying to additionally force people to read??

Normies think citations make or break a paper because normies have never created new knowledge. To a normie, a science paper is a pure interpolation of existing knowledge (that's what they did in college). Making up citations breaks the interpolation and makes the paper wrong

#TheBoys series finale was perfect. The hate that it is getting is literally only from people that don't understand character development, story progression, or anything in that vein. They wanted explosions and blood and nothing else. @therealKripke and crew killed it.
