@Birdies_Barolo @WJSmithJonesIII @Top100Rick Not an overreaction a bit. These gals are so good and a universe away from a scratch player - no matter how far they hit it. A scratch player who hits it 295 is pretty shit at golf to average like 75/76.

Lydia Ko shot 60. With 12 birdies. 12!!! And missed this putt on 16. And yet somewhere there is a scratch dude who thinks he can hang with the ladies “If we played the same tees”. Bro you couldn’t make 12 birdies if every hole was 250 yards.

I’m really good at shooting 69/70 on courses rated about 74 about 1/3rd of the time. I do not have a 61 in me yet. I also will humiliate a “male scratch” and get smoked my Lydia.

@Birdies_Barolo @Top100Rick In other words, a male scratch golfer is little more than a decent player. If the objective is to hype up the talent level of LPGA players, I'm sure I could find thousands of 25-year old male amateurs who could mop the floor with any LPGA player.

First outside swings of the year! Round featured a tap in eagle and a few greens that stimped between 3-4, some questionable ability to adapt to said speeds.

@MikeScatena @LouStagner Agree as another +3.5. Total limbo. Although in our club’s season match play it was down to myself and our other +3.5 in the final. Which is actually insane to think how we both conquered crazy strokes given time and time again.

I’m at +3. People think that means I should dominate member guests. What the don’t understand is I give a 6 handicap 4-5 shots per 9. They are for sure making minimum 4 pars for birdie on those holes and their partners are making 1-2 in there as well. I make 3/4 birdies per side and I need 3 out of my partner just to tie most matches. 3/4 birdies is MUCH harder than a 6 handicap making a par. Member guests are flawed that way. I think the biggest reason is because of the way GHIN’s are calculated. If I shoot 5 78’s they don’t count them in my handicap. If I shoot 1 66 they think I’m Justin Rose. Also, 205 yard par 3’s are not the easiest handicaps on the course while a 505 yard par 5 is the hardest. I give a shot back on the 205 yarder meaning I need a 2 for a 3 and a i need to make a birdie on the 5 every single time just to push and it usually doesn’t even push the hole you typically need an eagle.

Our first match in the member/guest is against: ▶️A 12-index who plays blades… with dime-sized wear marks on the sweet spot ▶️A 17-index who carries driver 285+

This made my day. Coach of @MarquetteMGolf Steve Bailey surprised Hunter Eichhorn and Steve Leach who are the first two MU to hold full status and are paired together at the @BahamasKFTour He decided yesterday when he saw the pairing was a possibility, and grabbed a last minute flight and got in at noon today, drove to the course. “This might never happen again (them being paired together) I just didn’t want to miss it”. Man, I love this.
