On the plus side, this is probably Widell's best performance of the season. Needs to maintain this level and have an attacking threat going forward.

@marchamjack I've been very critical of his attacking quality this season, and frankly I don't think it's been good enough, but if he can maintain today's level he'll justify the faith a lot seem to have in him.

Scoreline flatters them but they're better than us. Wasn't a pen and unlucky OG, but pressure does that. Unlucky hitting the woodwork twice, but just not been threatening often enough otherwise.

@TheBluetones, as ever, excellent tonight in Swansea, with an all acoustic set. First visit to the @bunkhousebar as well. Cracking venue in our fair city, and very deserving of our support. Even had my first bottle of Newky Brown in the best part of 20 years due to bar issues!

Devil in the detail such as release clauses etc (which we'll never know) but undoubtedly positive news. Still think he's going in the summer but helps ensure top dollar which is all you can ask for.

Will it happen? Have my doubts. But oh, the possibilities for my city! Make it happen Snoop lad!

@tormey_history I suspect they're not entirely au fait with their/my fair city's sea faring history. Although the overnight ferry to Cork back in the day was a very lively overnight trip.

Season over &, realistically, never going to end in a play-off surge. Too many glaring weaknesses in the team - not least CB & everything at the top end apart from Vipotnik. Had a gutsful of watching our dreadful wingers. One lge goal in 6 months between them, zero quality.

@SleepyInSA2 Can argue there's a push but as soon as the ref gives the free-kick it's got to be denial of a goal-scoring opportunity.

Ref may have evened up the error count by letting Tymon stay on the field there. If you're giving a handball there, it's got to be a red.

Sky Sports stat showing Cullen as second highest scorer off the bench in the league. Goes to show the valuable place he holds in the squad.

A game of moments, but ultimately a microcosm of our season. Just not enough creative quality in our team, and too many good chances passed up. That's it for this season I'm afraid. Now time to focus on next year and the obvious areas we need to upgrade.
