TheGamer’s “queer” journalist is attacking Lords of the Fallen 2 again over its newly revealed female armor sets. A new article from TheGamer argues that the designs fail to understand the sex appeal found in FromSoftware games. TheGamer calls the armor “super lame” and labels the designs juvenile, objectifying, and pathetic. It claims they miss the true sex appeal of FromSoftware games like Elden Ring, where female characters are hot because of their depth and stories rather than just cleavage. Outlets like TheGamer operate from the view that overt sexualization of female characters is problematic. This isn't new. Gaming sites like TheGamer have run articles for years attacking the "male gaze" and criticizing sexualized female character designs and the `male glaze´´ and the double standards of these journalists shows

Internal Development Build 0.227.0.20 New / Changes • You can now refuel the ship from the bridge! We don't have volumetric gas giants yet, so for now you simply need to be within 1.25-1.75 of a gas giant's radius to be in effective fuel scooping range. Ice giants are the best fuel sources, with effectiveness falling off on classes I through V. • Added a temporary /refuel command to the chat box to save anyone who forgets to watch the fuel tanks. It'll set the tanks to 10%. • Added a temporary (ish) flashing light above the Engineering console if any tank drops below 10% fuel. • The F1 bug reporting tool has been updated, and now also lists all open bug tickets in-game. More functionality on that will be coming. Backers - Notes • The new bug tracker uses your Starsim account, so if you are logged in when you report a bug it will link that ticket to your account properly. You'll then be able to see any tickets you've raised on your dashboard, and it will glow yellow if any of your tickets have been updated. • The NPC Captain doesn't know about fuel scooping yet, so don't leave them unattended, or you'll end up stuck without fuel. For now, I'll add a temporary /refuel command to the chat box to save anyone who gets stranded.

@Slegnor Yup, series of Mac shooters. Sometjmes gets compared to DOOM, though it had a more advanced engine (and a way better story). It’s available on Windows now too, via Steam.

I'm not really a multiplayer guy, or a shooter guy anymore. But as a kid, I was a "Marathon" guy. Bungie had an easy layup here; "Marathon's" whole thing was that it was a lore-rich, story-driven game; shooter action with RPG depth. Why they went this way instead baffles me.

Silicon Valley companies are betting big on AI data centers that float in the ocean. An Oregon company called Panthalassa has raised about $210 million, including a recent $140 million round led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund. The company is building large floating platforms called Ocean-3. These are sphere-shaped structures about 85 meters long that will operate far out at sea. The platforms generate power from ocean waves and use seawater to cool the computers, they send AI results back to shore via satellites and focus on running AI models rather than training new ones. Moving to the ocean solve some problems like power shortages, cooling water, long approval times, and slow construction. Smaller versions have already been tested at sea, and full-size platforms will start in the northern Pacific in 2026.

British police recently arrested a mannequin during a protest outside the Ministry of Justice in London. The mannequin held a sign supporting Palestine Action, a group designated as a terrorist organization under UK law for its direct action campaigns. Protesters from the Defend Our Juries campaign used the dummy to highlight what they see as an overly broad application of anti-terrorism rules against peaceful signs opposing the ban. Officers also detained dozens of human demonstrators alongside the mannequin for holding similar messages.
