After the season Charlie McAvoy has had and almost dying at the 4 Nations last year, I have no issue with him letting his wires cross after that slew foot in garbage time. He was one wrong move away from rehabbing all summer. The guy deserves a break.

@NathanielM134 @NHLTradeAlert I’d put moving Korpi as a secondary goal too. I think you need that upgrade to win a cup but not to make a run. Obviously if a good opportunity shows up you move him. I also think Lohrei showed enough this year to stick around. Eyssimont, Steeves and Kuraly I’m looking to move

@Steven202696 @NHLTradeAlert That’s my sense. I feel like Thomas is the most likely. I could also see them trying for Robertson if they think their center depth is enough. The defense is where I feel like Sweeney will do something surprising.

@LockedNHLBruins I’m excited to see Buffalo, Anaheim, and Montreal in the mix. Not a fan I just think it’s cool to see them back in it. Rooting for Minnesota at this point.

Quick Thoughts -Need to add another elite forward or defenseman to become a serious contender. -Elias Lindholm is a bottom 6 center. -Future looks good (Hagens, Letourneau, Zellers)

@Mboehme3288 @BruinsNetwork Oh I’m not whining or saying calls weren’t missed the other way, I’m just saying a standard was set early on for what the Bruins could do to protect their guys, and it wasn’t typical of the playoffs. Can’t complain, either way, Bs didn’t need help losing.

Boston’s toughness felt kind of performative against Buffalo to begin with, but especially as it ends with Zach Benson slew-footing McAvoy in garbage time. Wasn’t the selling point for Zadorov, Kastelic, Jeannot and others to deter such behavior? Didn’t feel that way. #NHLBruins

Dirty slewfoot from Zach Benson on Charlie McAvoy as the two players were going into the boards for a puck. McAvoy responds by swinging his stick and hitting Benson as the melee ensues. Bruins finally get a PP. Apparently the refs needed to see a slewfoot to award them one
