Yes we did. We made $5.00 an hour with $600 a month rent, student loans of $25k and drove beater cars. A lot of us had young kids, which came with medical bills.We had 0 job security so we sucked our bosses ass intil we finished college, then wecwent for the entry level career position and worked our asses up the corporate ladder for 30+ years only to wind up paying for kids who think life isn’t fair, illegal immigrants, high cost of living, government reps inhaling our high taxes and some of us still have our kids and aging parents living with us... Well guess what? It’s not fair, so buckle up buttercup. You haven’t seen anything yet.

We did in our own way. We worked 2 and 3 jobs, me and my fiancé raised our baby at 19 and 20 while working 2 and 3 jobs each, and while we put myself thru community College. Its doable. The only diff is the work ethic now vs then. We were taught to fend for ourselves at a VERY young age. I, personally, caudled my older sons not wanting to do the same. It didn't work out to their advantage. Now my younger 2 get the same treatment I did as a kid. 3200 in rent means, move, settle for less, or get room mates.
