BREAKING: Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum hits back hard at Donald Trump with a dire warning after he announces his disastrous tariffs — and breaks down exactly how idiotic his idea is.
This is what a real leader sounds like...
"Seventy percent of the illegal weapons seized from criminals in Mexico come from your country. We do not produce these weapons, nor do we consume synthetic drugs," she wrote in a letter to Trump which she read at a press conference.
"Tragically, it is in our country that lives are lost to the violence resulting from meeting the drug demand in yours," she added.
"One tariff will follow another and so on, until we put our common businesses at risk," she correctly predicted. Trump's suggestion that he will implement a 25% tariff on Mexico and Canada is utterly moronic and will only succeed at skyrocketing prices.
"I am convinced that North America’s economic strength lies in maintaining our trade partnership. This allows us to remain competitive against other economic blocs," she continued.
"For this reason, I believe that dialogue is the best path to understanding, peace, and prosperity for our nations. I hope our teams can meet soon to continue building joint solutions," Sheinbaum added.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you oppose Trump's harebrained tariffs — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. Please spread this:
“The National Farmers Union argues that claims that the so-called carbon tax is causing food inflation can be easily proved as inaccurate.”
☢️Pretty damning for Poilievre & the Cons. They’re going against the National Farmers Union.

@premierbhiggs Your government taxes is 4 cents a litre in PROVINCIAL tax that you could have removed to offer immediate relief. Does this mean the citizens could sue the PC party for YOUR Provincial Petroleum charge that has been in effect since July of 2023? Where is that money really going?

Today, I announced that our government will launch a renewed legal challenge against the federal carbon tax. In addition to driving up the cost of your groceries and gas, it also hurts healthcare and education.
Justin Trudeau taxes New Brunswick every time we fill up an ambulance, build a school, or heat a hospital.
We agree with Pierre Poilievre's "Axe the Tax" campaign. However, even with a change of government in Ottawa, Liberal Leader Susan Holt has spoken about creating a New Brunswick carbon tax. To ensure a Liberal-Green coalition can't introduce a provincial carbon tax, elect a PC government on October 21.

When white people are moving to New Brunswick, we're "stronger than ever."
When it's primarily brown asylum seekers, we don't have enough infrastructure.
This is a comically blatant (and revolting) attempt to blame the Feds for problems @pcnbca and @premierbhiggs have created.

@andrewwaugh13 Most doctors in NB are already carrying an unmanageable amount of patients already, which is why so many leave. More billing numbers, more clinics doctors can work together in call groups to have some life/work balance, and new ways of thinking are needed. #timeforchange

@newfymainlander This is the kind of support teachers in NB wish we had from our Premier. Instead, @BlaineHiggs claims third party postcards maligning teachers and misleading parents are just “free speech”.

Posting for New Brunswick!!
Imagine having a premier as caring as Wab Kinew?🥺❤️

@thomjeff @davidshipley Except that a Conservative Premier tried to use this as a chance to mistakenly attack Trudeau and it cost precious time.. regina.ctvnews.ca/video/c2966351…

In short, there are better and fairer ways to help those who are hurting the most from our cost of living crisis. All of this while not impairing our ability to deal with challenges ahead, such as bulging ranks of older seniors. #nbpoli

Just to be clear, someone spending $50K a year on taxable products would save $1,000 in HST, not $400. But the idea remains, this is a gift that would favour wealthy spenders while it's the poorest and the middle class who are hurting the most. #nbpoli cbc.ca/news/canada/ne…

Have education decisions made by teachers not politicians
Contrary to teachers' interests Higgs' @pcnbca introduced legislation to weaken DEC powers & walk back marginalized children's rights. He's tried to abolish French immersion and is attempting to personally rewrite sex ed.

@premierbhiggs This election IS a clear choice. You had ample time to improve the lives of average and impoverished citizens in New Brunswick, or use record surpluses to truly invest in Health Care, Education and Long Term Care. Now you offer this bribe but ONLY if re-elected! #Higgsmustgo
English

This election you have a clear choice.
PCNB candidates across the province are committing to make life more affordable. A 2% cut to the HST will save the average New Brunswick family $1000/year.
Even more if you need to make big purchases like a new vehicle, home renovations or appliances.
Susan Holt supports Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax, will keep the HST at 15%, and will spend your money on her way to driving New Brunswick back into the red.
The choice is yours. Vote PCNB for a tax cut that makes life more affordable.
