In 2009, Bernie Madoff lost investors $60 billion. He was sentenced to 150 years in prison. In 2022, @elonmusk's $TSLA has lost almost $800 billion over the last year. Elon, his brother @kimbal, chair Robyn Denholm and several of her colleagues all sold shares near the peak.

Update ich habe 400 Tesla Aktien verkauft. Es tut sehr weh. Mein Timing war völlig beschissen. Ich habe aber Respekt vor einer schweren Wirtschaftskrise und will mich absichern. Ich hatte im letzten Jahr einige lernings.

I am thinking about selling 2 of my rental properties out of 4 and investing the proceeds into Tesla. With $150 per share it would give me an additional 4,000 shares. IMO real estate will decline an additional 20% in 2023 but I don’t believe Tesla will. Any thoughts?

If you’re so infuriated by Elon selling shares, I question the long term focus of your investment strategy. Or your ability to be a Tesla shareholder. Nobody said it would be easy. Sure Elon isn’t helping right now, but he never has anyway. Your expectations may be the problem.

Elon Musk has 120 million followers. Yesterday, he essentially called his former employee Yoel Roth, a pedophile. Elon has enormous influence and has probably destroyed Yoel’s reputation forever. What if Yoel is innocent? Sometimes it feels like Elon is leading a lynch mob.

For so many years there have been thousands of Tesla FUD articles. While this was going on, Tesla increased by 140X. Even after a 2 year low. If you listen to the media on Tesla, maybe it’s time to reflect and ignore $TSLA media coverage completely. They’re terrible at it.

Somehow the media holds a magic spell on most of the population where they can be completely unaccountable and can get away with seemingly anything. We’re truly on our own when it comes to finding accurate information these days. Thank god Elon bought Twitter.
