@ZannyToy @CNviolations That's now how this shit works. Nothing can install itself. It can be a link to a scam or a phishing attempt but even if it goes to a site that automatically starts a download you have to install the app manually. You have to alter multiple settings in android to do this.

@CNviolations And this is why you don't just scan random QR codes. Like it was just a harmless prank this time but it could have easily been malware such as ransomeware, spyware, etc. People nowadays are way to comfortable with this kind of stuff.
