@RiverboatRog @NASA Maybe go back a little farther to Greek mythology and you would discover Artemis is the Goddess of the moon and the twin sister of Apollo.

For the first time in over 50 years, humans are Moonbound. At 6:35 p.m. EDT (2235 UTC) NASA’s Space Launch System rocket and the Orion spacecraft lifted off from the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, sending four astronauts on a planned test flight around the Moon and back. go.nasa.gov/4tlRfRS

On this day in 1901: The Glenfinnan Viaduct opened. This stunning concrete structure stands 100ft high and has 21 arches. People gather daily to watch the Jacobite Steam Train, often timing their visit to see the engine billow white smoke for a perfect "Hogwarts Express" moment.

Isle of Arran, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Often called Scotland in miniature, Arran gives you the best of both parts of Scotland in one beautiful island. The north side has the rugged Highland character with mountains and wild glens, while the south side is gentler and more rolling - much more like the Lowlands. It’s the perfect snapshot of Scotland’s incredible variety, all in one smaller place. Brodick Castle sits proudly overlooking the bay, backed by the 2,867ft tall Goat Fell Mountain. This location has deep roots, but the baronial castle you see today was mostly created in the 19th century as the seat of the Dukes of Hamilton. Now cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, it has beautiful interiors and some wonderful gardens and woodland walks to enjoy. One of the more surprising treasures on the island is the dinosaur footprints that are preserved in the rocks at several coastal spots like Kildonan and Blackwaterfoot. These were left around 240 million years ago by a large reptile as it wandered along the shoreline - back when this part of Scotland had a much warmer climate. It’s a special feeling to stand there and see them for yourself, knowing they’ve been waiting in the stone for those millions of years.

Many strange happenings around Scotland today. Please be vigilant and on the lookout for our bridges and lighthouses. Large haggis have also been spotted, so be careful out there.

Scotland is waking up to the devastating news that the Forth Bridge has been stolen. I heard it on the radio and had to run along to see it for myself. The radio said they were following a positive line of enquiry with a local company that uses girders to make soft drinks.

Arguably the best inversion I’ve ever had was on top of Ben Cleuch in the Ochils, on 13 October last year. Virtually zero wind, shorts and T-shirt weather.

I'll be heading out on tours around Scotland again tomorrow, so it's time for my important annual public safety announcement! The wild haggis are particularly dangerous in the coming months, probably riled up after a very wet, stormy winter.

@Thirdmainlom @Teo_secer @indieg2022 @brigantia__ Exactly. It is brought up in the court papers that he would be covered with his desired protection while he is with the king, but any private matters outside of that umbrella would have the security RAVEC deems necessary, preferably after 28 days notice.

@SnowScottish @Teo_secer @indieg2022 @brigantia__ When he visited the king after the cancer revelation, he got security from the airport to Clarence House only. Last year, no security despite being invited. Any private movements outside of royal property won’t qualify for security even if he’s invited.

" If the King wants to see the kids, all he needs to do is invite them over and it can happen. It is up to the King, unless Ravec do the right thing independently" Man, I know you are shameless, but this is just disgusting. This is simple blackmail. Just enjoy your new life.

Culross, Fife, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 This is one of Scotland’s best-preserved 17th-century royal burghs in Fife, with steep cobbled streets lined with old merchant houses and pantile roofs. Culross Palace stands out - it was built between 1597 and 1611 by Sir George Bruce who made his money from coal mining and salt. The ruins of Culross Abbey sit just up the hill, founded back in 1217 for Cistercian Monks, with the old tower still looking down over the town. It feels like stepping into a living time capsule from the 1600s and 1700s, many of the buildings have barely changed in over 300 years so the whole place still looks and feels just like it did centuries ago. These days it’s popular with visitors, especially Outlander fans as the village was used as “Cranesmuir” in the series. While in Culross, you can wander the streets, visit the palace and its gardens, and enjoy the views over the Firth of Forth.

@RF_0bserver @RE_DailyMail He received special attention twice when he attended the funerals of his grandparents, & even then, that was as far as it extended. He has been told numerous times that it is not up for the Monarch to decide & the Monarch will defer to the host country, in this case RAVEC.

@RF_0bserver @RE_DailyMail Why does he think an invitation from the King would give "the principal and his family" full security to galavant across the UK? I can't find it in the judicial rulings. They would receive armed security as long as they were in the king's bubble or attending a royal event.
