Due to increasing incident activity and forecasted elevated fire weather conditions, Southern California will elevate to Preparedness Level 2 on May 8th at 6:00am.
Here’s the truth about wildfire preparedness in California:
Most people think about it after.
After the evacuation order.
After the power goes out.
After they’re sitting in a car with no plan.
Yesterday, local, state, and federal leaders gathered to talk about how we can change that. And it starts with us—and it ends with YOU:
✔ Looking up your evacuation zone
✔ Packing go-bags with your family
✔ Walking your property and checking on your defensible space
✔ Calling the neighbor who probably hasn’t thought about this yet
You don’t need to be an expert to be prepared for wildfire. You just need to start.
