@AHoensbroech My son checked in at Thunder Bay at 12 PM yesterday. After check-in, WestJet cancelled his Winnipeg → Calgary flight and forced him to retrieve his checked bag. He was left outside the airport overnight with no food, no hotel, no safety from @WestJet

@WestJet worst Airlines - my 18 years old checked in and found that the next flight was canceled yesterday. After 2 hrs on the phone they gave a ticket after 14 hrs and kicked his bag out at Winnipeg. No agent so he stayed outside unit 4am. Then canceled and gave ticket for 20th.

no WestJet staff present until 4 AM. The 6:15 AM rebooked flight was then cancelled AGAIN, and he was rebooked 2 days later — still no accommodation, no meals, no duty-of-care support. This is not weather management — this is passenger abandonment, especially of a young student?
