No matter how you spin it democrats are not making a fair map for Virginians and that has been part of the dialogue and sell to voters in the state from democrats. It’s not fair obviously but you’ll justify it anyway you need to and allude to the federal ramifications to do it. I get it, just stop selling the constitutionality of it and saying it was done correctly to abide by state law

It’s the Florida judiciary, so probably nothing will happen, but in theory this is extremely, explicitly illegal per the Florida Constitution.

Why should Virginia’s pass and not Florida? They had unconstitutional ballot language and didn’t follow the special session correctly to approve the referendum vote. It’s void. So all I see is hypocrisy and Florida isn’t violating any law it’s a compact fair map that respects their constitution and reflects their growing Republican population shift

There is no difference. If anything Florida is much less gerrymandered. But You’re not morally superior and you’ve been matched equally in the vie for power.
