ME: Daycare is expensive, but worth it. THEM: Why would you pay to have someone else raise your kids? ME: They're not raising my kids, they're taking care of them while we work. THEM: One of you should quit your job so you aren't handing your kids off to strangers each day. ME: They're not strangers, they're professionals. And we'd have even less money if one of us stayed at home with the kids. THEM: It shouldn't be about money, it should be about bonding with your kids. ME: Kids need bonding with more than just their parents. Their daycare teachers and other kids at daycare are some of their best friends, and they're excited to go each day. THEM: You're letting them get indoctrinated by today's education system and propaganda. ME: They're literally learning colors, the ABCs, and how to count to 10. THEM: Some parents just don't want to be parents! ME: *stops arguing with a wall*

@xTimsanityx @Luwtage BS system. In season 3 I won hundreds of games. Years later I’m 10x better but can play all night without 1 win, getting smoked most the time. It’s not fun and it’s why myself and others quit. Just came back recently bc of the hype but it’s still the same shit system

Because ranked factors rank into the matchmaking system, so if you're gold you don't get matched against Masters or Pred... In pubs they use a hidden MMR system. But it's been speculated it factors in a lot of things that don't actually factor in your actual skill level. Also, it's a competitive shooter. Playing against great players will only make you better. If it's too hard, jump into bot Royale where there is like 3-4 real teams and the rest are AI. About as casual as it gets.

Apex is so unplayable if you wanna hop on a few games with a friend.... 5-10 min queues for Pubs (EU) and there are only Masters/Preds -> literally harder than Ranked games ...sorry but wtf is this matchmaking???

The human brain is optimized for 90 minutes of intense focus. Yet most traders try to sit on charts all day. This will eventually lead to burnout. Pick ONE high-volatility window. Catch 1–2 clean moves. Log off. This is the moment your trading will improve.

Video posted in January 2024 shows cornhole star Dayton Webber loading and firing a handgun. Webber is accused of shooting and killing 27-year-old Bradrick Michael Wells in Maryland before driving off with the body in his car. The American Cornhole League has released the following statement: “The ACL is aware of the reports regarding allegations involving Dayton Webber. This is an extremely serious matter and our thoughts are with all those impacted, including the family and loved ones of Bradrick Michael Wells.” “At this time, this remains an active legal situation. We respect the judicial process and will not comment on specific allegations or details while proceedings are ongoing.” Video: daytonjwebber / YouTube

NEW: Quadruple amputee professional cornhole player accused of murdering someone before driving off in his Tesla. Dayton Webber, 27, who has no arms & legs and was featured on ESPN, is accused of shooting 27-year-old Bradrick Michael Wells during an argument. "Police say Webber was in his Tesla SUV when he shot Wells in the passenger seat," a local report from Fox 5 said. "He then pulled over and asked two backseat passengers to help pull Wells out of the car. They refused and got out of the car before calling the police." Webber then allegedly drove off with Wells' body in the car. It's completely unclear how Webber was able to fire a weapon, considering he doesn't have fingers. "It’s early in the investigation, but there’s no evidence to suggest anyone else was involved in the shooting and that he acted alone," said Diane Richardson, Charles County Sheriff's Office. Webber faces first and second-degree murder charges. Video: ESPN

@TylerG_Capital Th pivotal moment for me was trading not to lose money instead of trading to profit. Tight stop. If it gets hit, bye. If it then runs I enter again. If not, no worry.

@samuraipips358 Tight stops are fine as long as you jump back in again as soon as it goes back the way you initially thought.

Things you must not do. ・Tighten the stop. Do not tighten the stop out of a desire to “protect this one” when the rule never told you to. Winning trades that needed room to develop get cut off halfway. ・Add a filter to avoid losing trades. Do not do that without testing and call it “improvement.” You are not only removing losses. You are also deleting the winning trades that were born from the same conditions, and that has a major impact on performance. ・Wait for extra confirmation before entering. The move leaves without you. Then you either chase it or let it go. If the rule already decided it, do not hesitate. Every improvised action you take because it “feels like a better idea” backfires. Especially the ones meant to avoid losses. They damage your edge. An edge is not built from wins alone. It is calculated across the full sum of wins and losses. Change one side of that sum, and the whole equation changes.

A 10% loss requires a 11% gain to get back to even. A 20% loss requires a 25% gain to get back to even. A 50% loss requires a 100% gain to get back to even. A 90% loss requires a 900% gain to get back to even. This is why protecting capital is even more important than making money.

@AI2C__ @HannahFrankman 4 hours a day during weekdays is the minimum. Add in some hours on Saturday and Sunday and it’s no longer a time thing. If your child doesn’t have the motivation to learn on computer then that’s a poor parenting problem

People say homeschooling is expensive, but: - Project Gutenberg has every classic available online, free - Khan Academy has the entire K-12 math curriculum, free - YouTube has entire courses by Ivy League universities, free Homeschooling only costs an internet connection.

Rep. Stacie Marie Laughton, the first openly transgender person elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, pleaded guilty to child sex abuse charges against children as young as 3 years old. Laughton's partner took naked photos of children between the ages of 3 to 5 in a daycare bathroom and sent them to Laughton. The couple sent thousands of text messages about the children with Laughton requesting access to have sex with them. Laughton faces 30 years in prison for the charges. Do you think 30 years is a just punishment for this crime? ❓

JUST WONDERING HOW MOMS are supposed to work 9-5, drop the kids off at school at 8 AM, pick them up by 3 PM, stay on top of school activities, meal prep, cook dinner, keep the house clean, do the laundry, run the kids to extracurricular activities, climb the corporate ladder, save sick days for when the kids are sick, be a good friend, daughter, and partner, all while trying to take care of their own body and mental health…
