Tara moved to Israel five years ago from Texas. Her message to the Palestinians living in Palestine is simple: 'Leave or we will kill you!' Perhaps this conflict isn't that complicated after all...

Just 20 minutes before Trump announced the Strait of Hormuz was open—Someone dumped 7,990 lots of Brent crude futures. A $760 million bet that oil prices would drop. Orders far larger than anything else in the market at that moment. They made a fortune. But somebody knew the announcement was coming. This is insider trading at the highest level of government.

Jessica Tarlov said what every official’s too afraid to admit: “The government has killed 32 people in 7 strikes with no proof they were traffickers. The admiral leading the mission quit. If we had evidence, they’d face a court, not a drone.” Seven strikes. Thirty-two dead. Zero indictments. That’s not “national security.” That’s extrajudicial murder with better PR.

Democrats spent months handwringing after Harris lost over how they were going to mobilize young people, reach young men, and seem relevant again. The reality is that they don’t like the answer to that question
Aaron Regunberg@AaronRegunberg

Centrists who are like “Dems have absolutely nothing to learn from Mamdani because the rest of the country isn’t New York City” - like, do you really think that mobilizing literally never-before-seen turnout among young people has zero application outside NYC?

NEW: 300+ writers, scholars and public figures – including almost 150 past New York Times contributors – have committed to refusing to write for the paper’s Opinion section until our the paper 1) addresses it's anti-Palestinian bias, 2) retracts the widely debunked investigation “Screams Without Words.” and 3) and calls for a U.S. arms embargo of Israel. The Opinion section is where the paper creates plausible deniability for its anti-Arab racism and its complicity in genocide. And while they treat the lies of the Israeli government as fact in their News section, they render the genocide debatable and relegate it to the Opinion page. But the section is nothing without the freelance contributors who write for it--and they are choosing integrity over prestige.

I don’t think people understand that when Hitler was growing up, the American genocide of its native population was still ongoing. Hitler most definitely studied and admired that genocide and also Jim Crow. We know because he said so. Would you prefer just not to know those facts? How is any of this Prof. Mamdani’s fault for saying it? It’s all true.

In addition to the pressure from AIPAC and other donors, I think the reluctance of Dem officials to admit that Israel is committing genocide comes down to a fear of what that admission requires of you as an elected official. Not to mention the way that it forces you to reckon with how you aided and abetted it. Liberal electeds want to imagine that in other historical times they would have been on the right side of history, complicity or indifference to genocide destroys that self-conception.

wow Buffalo is playing the PERFECT offensive game that can keep a 7-seed Broncos in it playing slow, conservatively, fewer plays & playing to convert 3rd downs at some point, a turnover or other miscue & boom Denver is up BIG dice roll to play THIS high variance vs weaker team

Not a great day for Joe Brady. Denver has made adjustments and sold out to stop Cook. Brady continues to call this game like Mitch Trubisky is the quarterback. Romo was right earlier. Put the ball in Josh's hands 2-3 times per set of downs, not once.

Elon plans to destroy as much of the government as possible because he recognizes it as the only force capable of limiting his labor abuses, environmental destruction, tax dollar plunder and limitless robber baron domination. The weaker the elected government, the stronger the plutocrats. Trump aides are irritated Elon seems to think he’s co-president but in truth I think he believes he is vastly more powerful than Trump.
