ED use is limited but growing. Probes are hard to get and so is training. Our fellow goes to the OR with anesthesia and is doing online didactics. Hopefully we get our own probe in the near future.

Thanks @veervithalaniMD. RA isn’t something I learned in residency but proves new skills can be learned as an attending. I think it’s unfortunately missing from most EM education and way under-utilized. But this is slowly changing.

Build in efficiencies & keep it simple, ie. e-consents, tackle box with supplies, set policies to ensure quality and safety. Lots of education to ensure learners can find the nerves and know the anatomy. It’s like any procedure, the more you do the faster it becomes. #happytohelp
