The average high school head football coach stipend is around $7,000. Fluctuating heavily
For that, they’re expected to coach year-round, run a program, mentor kids, manage parents, recruit their own halls, fundraise, break down film, coordinate staffs, and be available almost 24/7.
Football coaches are grossly underpaid for what we ask of them.

I don't fully buy this argument because we've only had two years of a 12-team CFP.
The 2024 season absolutely did not need more teams in the field. It's also not a reason to do 24 over 16.

That’s the worst part about this expansion- it’s being voted on by people looking to gain something out of it. This is not being pushed for the sake of improving the sport.

This is the heart of the playoff expansion issue. Conferences like playoffs because of money. Coaches like expansion because it makes them look better for having made it.
Don’t for one second think the primary interest of either group is the health of the sport.
