@joncstone @ItsNotPiss Think you are looking at the timetable not the reality. A sub 10 minute frequency on paper often means 30 min waits at stations. The trains may be high capacity but there are not sufficient seats. How can you say it’s a good system if you don’t know the reliability?

@ItsNotPiss can’t speak to reliability but sub-10 min frequencies with fast, modern, high capacity trains on a pretty comprehensive network should be the aim everywhere

@My_Metro no there is still an issue with the web site - I have a vague recollection I’ve reported it before. Will put in an email to customer services. In some circumstances menu does not work. Eg select Menu / tickets. Then select menu again - none of menu options work.

@My_Metro It’s working again now. None of the pages from the main menu were accessible first thing this morning. Suspect some sort of update was happening but all ok now.

@NorthEastPTUG @NorthEast_CA @KiMcGuinness Agree the location isn’t great. Hopefully there will be a good turn out from local people who will have specific issues in that area. Meetings are needed in Durham, Ashington, Newcastle and Sunderland & Hexham etc.

@MichaelBurke89 @My_Metro There does need to be a review. Pop is getting too complicated and there are discrepancies over what can and can’t be used. The Northumberland line has highlighted Line to Metrocentre How to top up in Northumberland Use on bus Strategy needed and a timetable to implement.

@My_Metro do you know how long website will be down. As you suggested I contacted customer services but haven’t had a reply. It’s not possible to order a new pop card, get receipts for journeys or correct and missing tap in/out. It’s been down for days now.

@NorthEastPTUG @space4gosforth @NewcastleCC Newcastle Cycling Campaign seem to think some of the existing cycle lane along Gosforth high street will be removed. Looking at the plan it did look like a cycle lane had been added between corner house and the high street but it wasn’t easy to interpret

@KiMcGuinness @My_Metro A capped fare is good news. But let’s not pretend fares are not increasing for the majority of customers. It treats customers as idiots and shows no respect. 4.6% increase on season tickets. Overall increase of 1.5%. Good news for those on longer journeys though.
