I’ve always had respect for Massie. He was always -in my opinion - wrong about his approach but he was standing on heartfelt principles and had intellectual backing. He’s a nice guy. But comments like this make me question his authenticity. The USS Liberty incident is a tragic one, but it’s an incident with a clear conclusion if one uses any objective analysis of the facts. I thought Massie was capable of objective analysis. Perhaps he still is. Perhaps we are simply witnessing another example of the irresistible incentive to jump on the bandwagon of grifters that guarantee you a specific kind of social media audience and attention that ultimately results in profits.
Thomas Massie@RepThomasMassie

On June 8, 2026, I’ll speak on the floor of the House to honor and memorialize the brave crew of the 🇺🇸 USS Liberty who died and were wounded in an unprovoked attack by 🇮🇱 Israel on June 8, 1967. Catch my speech on @cspan.

Okay, I will share a story about @vkhosla. I met Vinod Khosla at Chase Center last year, approached him, and talked to him. The weird thing is he doesn’t shake hands (where I’m from, we shake hands), but he was genuine. I sent him an email afterwards; he replied to my email and deck and gave me pointers on what to improve. @vkhosla was genuine to me when some no-name fund was acting like douches.

Hi @amasad, is it true you go on podcasts saying you want a “two-state solution” but neither of your proposed two states is sovereign Jewish Israel?
Ben Badejo@BenjaminBadejo

There is no Gaza genocide. There was never a Gaza genocide. Actually, that’s not quite right. On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists tried to murder me, and all of my friends, and everyone in Israel — man, woman and child. That was attempted genocide. They raped, kidnapped, maimed and murdered thousands of us. They fired thousands of rockets at us, refused to release the hostages they endlessly tortured for two years, and triggered a seven-front war against Israel by terrorists groups across the region — terrorist groups committed to murdering every Jew, every Israeli, every American, and every “infidel,” while using two million Gazans as human shields. So Israel fought back. And Israel won. That is what happened. It is not Israel’s fault that Hamas terrorists operated from and hid behind and under schools, hospitals, residential areas, and even mosques and the few remaining churches in Gaza. Your cowardice is not our problem. Your decision to jeopardize the lives of noncombatants by hiding amongst them is not our problem. Your willingness to sacrifice innocent people in Gaza, all because you hate Jews so much and don’t actually care about innocent people in Gaza at all…is not our fucking problem. It is the job of the Israeli military to protect the people of Israel from the people who are actively trying to kill them. If you try to fire rockets at me from inside or on top of or next to or underneath a school, then the school is getting blown up. We will not apologize. We will not apologize for living. We will not apologize for defending ourselves. And we will not apologize for other people’s crimes. I want to know which so-called “midwit” VCs “ganged up on” this pathological liar. Those are my people, because they do not tolerate terrorist-loving liars like Replit founder Amjad Masad. As for the VCs who “stood by” this liar: nobody should want their money. If you are a founder and you actually care about your company, don’t take money from investors who accommodate lies. Nothing good can come of it. The truth matters.

I’m genuinely glad @RealCandaceO is freely exercising the rights so many Americans died to protect. She’s highlighting exactly why this country remains unique and superior to so many others. Now imagine a Russian “influencer” who came to the US, bashed Russia, and declared America better, then returned home. It wouldn’t be bad press. It would be prison, torture, or death. That’s the difference between real freedom and a guided propaganda tour.
Candace Owens@RealCandaceO

If by “shitty” you mean everything in their society is exactly the same, but somehow cheaper, cleaner, and more inspiring then can we import some of that “Russian shit” to America? Gas is cheaper, food is cheaper and they have less debt. Our media lies day in and day out and pretends Russia is on the brink of collapse to justify our own citizens struggling to afford basic necessities. Keep playing up to the Western delusion that Russia is failing because we punished them with sanctions for their moral sins, while we roll out the red carpet for the genocidal state of Israel. Keep applauding the same dumb foreign policy initiatives which brought us “we can overtake Persia in two weeks, Mr. President!”. Everything we are doing and have done is stupid and we owe it to a bunch of geriatric Baal Worshipers who think if they kill enough Palestinian children, they’ll prove themselves ‘chosen’ for Satan. Reality? The Eastern hemisphere is now on the rise and you can’t gatekeep that reality forever.

I was lucky to work with Vinod (and @rabois) on my first company. They were blunt and direct, but always fair - including when the company was not doing well. I’m confused by founders who expect to be handed millions of dollars but receive no harsh feedback along the way. If you can’t handle that as a founder, it’s a skill issue. KV was the top of my list when starting my next company, and I feel lucky to work with them building Tolan.
Vinod Khosla@vkhosla

I am often wrong but always give honest opinions. Some find this harsh but hypocritical politeness hurts founders. Brutal honesty gives them a chance to evaluate it and accept or reject. the opinion. Great founders elect for honesty. It is not fun to offer brutal honesty

Not only did we not fire them, we did not give them an offer to invest based on our assessment of the team (clearly retrospectively wrong and our loss). Was honest in my assessment of why we did not offer to invest, just trying to be helpful. Never discussed equity. So firing/equity is totally a fictional story. Anything goes on twitter I guess
Dhani@DhaniSriram

@belowcashbuyer @vkhosla @byersblake This is only an attempt to fire, he’s asking about the instance where he supposedly actually fired the founders and took the equity

It “takes guts” for an American President to assert his position on foreign policy? Isn’t that his job? It’s amazing how almost everyone in Washington takes as a given that Israel is in complete control of our government. Rand Paul acts as if Trump stood up to his abusive boss by telling him to stop attacking Lebanon. Oh and btw, Israel is…wait for it…still attacking Lebanon.
Rand Paul@RandPaul

President Trump told Netanyahu to stop the fighting. That takes guts, and I commend him for it. You should be able to disagree with any ally's foreign policy without being accused of hatred.

Tonight is my last night in Glasgow. It is where I was born. It is where I spent my childhood, where I became a Bar Mitzvah, and where much of my understanding of myself was formed. Mostly because of my parents, Scotland has always been the constant. No matter where I happened to be living, whether London, Hong Kong, or elsewhere, there was always an assumption that Scotland would be there. It was the place I returned to when life became complicated, uncertain, or challenging. My parents were here. It was familiar. It was home. Tomorrow, I leave the UK and make Aliyah to Israel. Over the past few years, I have spent a great deal of time writing, researching, and speaking about Jewish identity, Jewish peoplehood, Jewish indigeneity, and Jewish self-determination. In many ways, that journey led me here. Not because I stopped being British, but because I came to understand more deeply what it means to be Jewish. Tomorrow I will become an Israeli citizen. I leave with great love for the life my parents gave me here and excitement about the chapter that lies ahead. Scotland will always be where I am from. But tomorrow, I go home.
