@AshleyKillip Why do they need to open up the side of starfactory? Isn’t there a door already?

Today marks 100 years since robert goddard launched his rocket for the first time. It is amazing how far we have come since then and I wonder where we will be 100 years from now.

STATIC FIRE: Booster 19 fires up, but feels very short and potentially aborted early. However, first time for Pad 2, the first time for V3, and the first time Raptor 3's have fired up together. youtube.com/live/z83PHp7A0…

SLS
SLS@ScottLikedSLS·
Not that SLS is cheap but if you honest to God believe that SpaceX is earning money off selling a $90m starship launch.... Starship has been costing around 300m to launch for SpaceX (which is still hugely impressive for it size) They undersold to ensure the contract.
Íñigo@inigogmez

this is the actual price comparison between both vehicles it's INSANE how expensive a single SLS launch can get for reference: 1 SLS launch = 44+ Starship launches and let's not start talking about the $600/kg 😳

Bravo to @NASAAdmin @rookisaacman on restructuring the #Artemis program – this is the leadership we need for the U.S. space program to succeed. Standardizing around a Block 1 variant is the right call. It opens an opportunity for commercial companies to support heavy cargo delivery to deep space. What we need is a standardized, expendable third stage. It’s cost-effective, flexible, and useful for other deep space missions beyond the Moon. @GoToImpulse’s Helios is capable of meeting that need. It’s a launch vehicle agnostic third stage that will have the highest-performing hydrocarbon engine ever and be capable of taking multiple tons of cargo to deep space. Helios meets a larger need for in-space mobility with the capability to go far, fast. Impulse is ready to support Artemis and other U.S. space goals. Let’s go!
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman@NASAAdmin

President Trump gave the world the Artemis Program, and NASA and our partners have the plan to deliver. We will standardize architecture where possible, add missions and accelerate flight rate, execute in an evolutionary way, and safely return American astronauts to the Moon, this time to stay. This is the NASA that once changed the world. This is the NASA that will do it again.

I love that NASA has an engaged community that is passionate about our hardware. I will just say that those who believe ML-2 and EUS were “right around the corner” are mistaken. We can spend billions more and put the schedule at risk, or we can focus our resources and limited time on going to the Moon. The people have waited long enough for this grand return--industry knows that, political leadership knows that, and at NASA we certainly know that.

Your friendly reminder that LandSpace is moving rapidly towards their own Starship class reusable rocket
Wu Lei@wulei2020

The 220-ton-class #BF20 liquid oxygen-methane full-flow staged-combustion engine, developed by #LandSpace, has completed a full-system long-duration test❗️It features an advanced full-flow staged combustion cycle, combined with an integrated, high-chamber-pressure design.
