This bill could be significant for 1A/2A laws. The other one would do nothing except ruin 3DP. I don't think conflating them helps anyone

WA HB 2320 has been sent to the governor to sign into law. I have no doubt he will sign it.
Once this is law, it sets precedent for similar bills in other states. THIS makes the slope very slippery.

Damn, they actually passed it? Unlicensed operation of 3D printers and CNCs is now a felony in Washington? I get that it's fashionable to hate manufacturing in some places but how many kids and FIRST robotics teams are going to end up with criminal records because of this?

@SpannMagoo Felt will leave fibers behind; gear floss does not. Plus, like when you floss your teeth, having the extra length makes it easier to do.

For anyone using gear floss when cleaning your threaded rods, just use felt from your hobby store for around .50 cents. It works just as well, and you can clean two printers roughly with one sheet.
