Sometimes in life a plan just doesn’t work out and sadly for #Gills that time is now. He’s a decent fella and I like many supporters genuinely feel for Gareth Ainsworth but enough is enough. The board need to do the right thing for the football club and relieve him of his duties.

Having listened to Ainsworth's interview after Gillingham 1-5 MK Dons last night Ainsworth mentions he knows what he has to do to improve Gillingham, but we have to get through to the end of the season, almost like Ainsworth realise's that big changes have to happen to the squad

@Checkfish Sorry to say but the squad has been poor for a good 4-5 years. They have seen off some very good managers. The squad needs a massive overhaul.

@TheME7Podcast Just to follow up from my tweet, the issue for 4/5 years has been the midfield, no legs no creativity and no width. No pace has also been an ongoing issue. The lack of flair as well how long since we have a player who gets us off our seats? This is why we don’t score goals.

@TheME7Podcast The midfield balance is off - they are all similar, you don’t need Little, McKenzie, Coleman on the same team. No creativity at all. Little however is all huff and no puff. No end product. If his role is to run around like a headless chicken then he is doing his job perfectly.

For me, Little's qualities are not in his usage of the ball, but more so his energy, tenacity and ability to get around the pitch. @FOM_BLOG 100% mate however I can’t see this current squad go on any sort of run. 😩🙈 the issues that have been there for last 4/5 years are still glaringly there unfortunately. The issues we can see yet the recruitment team can’t seem to see 🙈😩

There are 15 games to go until the end of the season, and let's say for example, Gillingham go on a good run and finish 10th, I don't want that good run of form to see players be rewarded with contracts for next season, If promotion is the aim next year, a clear out has to happen

The entire Galinson era of @TheGillsFC in the league now stands at W54 D42 L53. 150th game this weekend. For comparison, the previous three and bit seasons at end of the Scally era were W41 D49 L57

@GillsInTheBlood Totally agree with this. I feel now many players have outgrown their tenure here and it's time for a (and I really mean this) extreme shake up and exodus. Does pile the pressure on next year, but knowing that we have nothing to play for on the home stretch is just deflating.

I’ve been to 34 of our 36 fixtures this season because 1) I want to because it’s my club and 2) because I want to believe in this group, this manager & this plan. Therefore the saddest thing for me after that defeat was the lack of fan reaction at the end. Some chose to politely applaud, some didn’t, but that was it. It was apathy, a feeling of resignation that another season of hope & promise has drifted to nothingness with a third of it still to go. I don’t think as fans we were expecting to run away with the title this yaar, or necessarily make the Play Offs, but to perhaps just be in contention & have something tangible to play for when the home straight came into view. Instead we sit here in mid February already looking towards another new campaign that we hope will be different. We simply cannot be fooled into giving out contracts to players who may turn up over the next 8-10 weeks when the pressure is off and we have nothing to really play for, players who have already seen off multiple managers. Time to be cut throat, time to be ruthless & time to let Gareth Ainsworth bring in his own signings instead of sticking with those who have overseen the sackings of Neil Harris, Stephen Clemence, Mark Bonner & to a degree John Coleman. This isn’t me saying I don’t like this player or I hate this player, and I will support them or the while they wear our shirt. But it is me saying we simply have to make a fresh start, have a clean slate & go from there. Then if Gareth fails he will no excuses & will die on that sword, but I fear we’ve become stale & stagnant & change will be best for everybody. #Gills #GFC 💙
