Indianapolis released their Marion County Community Health Assessment. Since the report is over 200 pages, mainstream Indy media won't touch it(@Indy_reporter_). Here's some findings: - 16.8% of households speak another language. 11.6% of the population is foreign born - 37% of Hispanics have no high school diploma. 8% of whites have no high school diploma. - 22% of blacks/Hispanic live in poverty. - 20% of Hispanics have no health insurance. 7% of whites have no health insurance. - HIV is exploding in Indy. Ratio per 100,000: 31. The rest of the state is 11 per 100k. Blacks, 64 per 100k. Whites, 12 per 100k. Part of the 75% new cases were due to newly arrived immigrants and foreign-born residents, 41 per 100k.
