Huge blown opportunity for Dems. Ron Johnson was deep underwater and going off about replacement theory, approval in the 30s, in a year that Ds grew their majority. But rallied around a flawed WI nom who left a paper trail of pro defund police and abolish ICE that Rs feasted on.

How many “this moment will appear in every ad this fall” moments actually end up appearing in every ad that fall? Which ones come to mind in previous years?

the NFL has Thursday-Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday games during Christmas week and Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Sunday games during Thanksgiving week 1) many will complain about this 2) everyone will watch the games all the same 3) there is a breaking point though and the NFL is closer to it than it realizes
Jeff Kerr@JeffKerrPHL

@mddems @isaiahrmartin Joe Biden actually did this with razor thin congressional margins and the voters he helped summarily threw him out on his ass. stop acting like voters ever choose “policy”

"If we can campaign on things that actually make people’s lives better, and deliver on them, we won’t just win elections now, we’ll build a real coalition for the future.” @isaiahrmartin breaks down why messaging has to move beyond broad political talking points and connect directly to people’s everyday lives.

@SaveYourCinema I think it makes sense in the current exhibition climate to convert one level of the 20 Arclight screens to PLF format houses, one of which could be a COSM. but never the Dome

I’ve shared this, but I was canvassing for Harris in Bucks County, PA. Knocked on the door of a woman who said she was thinking about voting for her, but then Harris started campaigning with Cheney and her son died in Afghanistan, that was her red line, so she was voting Trump.
Sarah Longwell@SarahLongwell25

Seriously, Donald Trump is currently destroying the country and you want to talk about Dick Cheney? He’s dead! Liz Cheney gave up everything to help Kamala because she was asked and wanted to help. Can we focus on what matters? Like, congrats on driving down Dick Cheney’s approval numbers.

The willingness of these states to throw out results from ongoing elections and start again with new maps, in cycle, is scrambling the old thinking and precedent about when it was too late to re-draw.
Juliegrace Brufke@juliegraceb

Per sources familiar, if the new maps pass the filing deadline for House seats would be pushed back. This, in theory, would allow for Nancy Mace and Ralph Norman to run for their seats again if they don’t win the gubernatorial primary.

No matter how much money Goldman spends and no matter how many unions & establishment Dems endorse him, the math is just super daunting for him here Lander’s very well-known & well-liked in increasingly progressive Brownstone Brooklyn, which makes up a majority of the NY-10 vote
Jeff Coltin@JCColtin

Dan Goldman is down 5 points to Brad Lander, 42-47, per a poll from pro-Goldman super PAC New Yorkers Fighting Back. Goldman knows polling isn't good and is on the attack and rallying support, including from Hochul, @HollyPret reports: cityandstateny.com/politics/2026/…

No opposition party can accept this state of affairs and retain respectability, and getting Democrats to understand that latter point prior to January 2029 is critical to the survival of democracy in the U.S.

Supreme Court today: We'll allow Alabama Republicans to change the congressional map in the primary election even though absentee voting has literally already started Supreme Court last December: November's too late to strike down the GOP's map in TX's March primary election!!

I came to Baltimore as a teacher. My first classroom didn't have a doorknob. For a full year I carried a pair of scissors in my pocket just to get in and out of the room. That doorknob — or the lack of one — made me want to be part of building a system that says to every person, in every neighborhood, in every school: you matter. You belong here. This place was built for you. That experience is a big part of why I ran for office — and why I'm still here. This is Francis Scott Key Elementary and Middle School in Locust Point. We just secured $1.5 million this session for new bathrooms, classroom furniture, and lockers. Baltimore has rebuilt or renovated more school buildings than any other urban district in the country — 14 of them right here in the 46th District. Every kid deserves a school that tells them they belong. Early voting starts June 11. Election Day is June 23
