Two years ago, our country witnessed an unspeakable act of violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. Being at the hospital in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of President Trump is a day I will never forget. Through it all, President Trump wasn’t focused on himself. He wanted to make sure everyone else was okay. I was with two dear friends that - Dan Scavino and Steven Cheung and must admit I had a few minutes of being in shock and even a little weepy. I’m grateful to God for His protection over the President and the team. But the cost of that day was nevertheless greater than many realize and we will continue to pray for the families impacted. We will not forget the day in Butler.

Fannie Garner, 76 and Johnson Thompson, 17, have reunited after the teen helped the woman after he saw her stumble out of her car. Thompson was up working at 5 am because he couldn't sleep after flipping his lawn mower a week earlier. While working, he noticed a vehicle pull over across the street. "She got out of her car, and she was stumbling around. So, I went out to the end of our parking lot to check to see if she was okay. That’s when she explained to me she had a terrible headache and was wanting to know where the nearest emergency room was." Thompson pulled out a chair for Garner and then called 911. When Garner got to the hospital, she found out that she had an active brain bleed. "I will never ever forget him. We already have plans for his graduation, and that’s next year," Garner said. This girl is cruising down the highway in her stick shift, windows down, wind in her hair, belting out songs while she shifts gears without missing a beat. She looks genuinely happy and in control. Most people these days never learn how to drive manual. It takes real timing and coordination to get the clutch and gas right, especially when you’re just trying to have fun and sing along. Seeing her do it so naturally makes you realize how much of that skill is disappearing. Do you think driving stick is becoming a lost art, or do you still think it’s worth teaching people even if almost every new car is automatic?
